Fantastic, great to use - super happy with this purchase!
Very easy to set up - My laptop keyboard started having issues so i bought this to use the laptop as a screen until i can get it fixed... but with the way this feels, i may leave it as it is. The keys are so soft and quiet - i had a clacky one which is satisfying at first but quickly became annoying, especially when the kids were sleeping. I loved the fact this came with batteries included in the package, and one USB connects both the mouse and the keys. It has a good weight to it but not excessively. I also love the standard sized arrow keys as the smaller ones are annoying. Overall - love this purchase and would highly recommend!

One USB adapter - super convenient
These are the best bang for buck wireless keyboard and mouse combo you can buy. They are pretty basic. The mouse has a scroll wheel and a left and right button, but that's it. The batteries last a long time, even when you forget to turn the devices off. The keyboard is... OK. It does the job. Only having one USB adapter is great and very convenient. At the time of purchase these were under twenty quid. Recommended for swapping out the basic wired mouse and keyboard you get with a new desktop computer or to use with a laptop when you don't get on with a mousepad.

Good combo with a few minor issues
After an unfortunate incident where my previous keyboard met its end thanks to a spilled coffee courtesy of my toddler, I was looking for a suitable replacement. I originally wanted a wired keyboard, but struggled to find one with the same multimedia/shortcut buttons I was used to and did not want to mess around with batteris. This set doesn’t include all of them, but it felt like a good compromise. Multimedia/shortcuts are not programable on this keyboard. Setup was simple as it is just plug and play with the USB receiver, and it was ready to go straight away. The keyboard itself has flat, laptop-style keys which I really like. They’re comfortable to type on and make very little noise, which is great for everyday use. The mouse is also a good size and feels comfortable in hand, and I appreciate that the scroll wheel is smooth and quiet. I also picked this up while it was on offer, so the price was excellent, which makes it even better value for what you get. Over time, I have noticed that some of the key lettering (particularly A, S, C, N, M and L) has faded slightly. It hasn’t worsened, but it’s something to be aware of. I’ve also experienced occasional micro disconnections, especially with the mouse. Sometimes the cursor will freeze for a second or two. Not due to worn batteries as this has been happening from day 1 with new batteries installed. I initially thought it might be due to the position of my tower, so I moved the USB receiver to my monitor after a few days. This did improve things slightly, but the issue still happens from time to time. Handy it is delivered with batteries (1x AA for mouse and 2xAAA for keyboard). Not sure if the 16 month battery life statement is true, but can confirm they do last for at least 4 months as mine are still going strong. I suppose it depends on daily usage. Overall, it’s a solid and convenient keyboard and mouse combo for everyday use, with a few minor drawbacks that don’t significantly impact usability. Would give it 5 stars were it not for the fading and cut-outs.

Smart and reasonably priced
Bought this for a home office setup and it has been a good replacement for my old wired keyboard and mouse. The wireless connection was simple to set up and I have had no issues with it since. The keys are quiet and comfortable to type on, and the mouse is smooth enough for everyday use. It is not trying to be a premium gaming setup, but for emails, documents and general browsing it does the job well.

Mouse Wheel Too Smooth
This HP 230 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo Set is the very epitome of cheap and cheerful, with one glaring flaw that really makes it unusable for me. That's why I am typing this review on another keyboard and mouse package (Artek HW192MW162). I bought this particular set because the keyboard was quite compact, having no wrist rest at the front. A three button mouse is fine for me. The keyboard uses two AAA batteries, whilst the mouse uses a single AA battery. I can't comment on battery life, for reasons outlined below. Both items (keyboard and mouse) are connected to the PC by a typical USB dongle, which works fine. The keyboard is one of those silent types with two membranes inside. Pressing a key completes a circuit to register the letter. It seemed quite responsive to me. This kind of keyboard may be cheap to manufacture, but they do not deal well with spillages. The older mechanical keyboards have a clearance beneath the keys to allow for the accumulation of dust and crumbs falling through the key spaces. The mess would gather in that gap without affecting the responsiveness of the keys. It was also possible for such a keyboard to survive fluid spillages, with the fluid gathering in that clearance rather than on the key mechanism. That luxury has disappeared with the more modern membrane keyboards. How do I know this, I hear you ask? Well, I had just installed the keyboard when I stupidly spilled a glass of fizzy juice all over it. It immediately stopped working properly, with some keys not registering presses and some giving the wrong output. Thankfully I still had my old keyboard. In an effort to rescue the situation I drained the keyboard of about a quarter of a pint of unwelcome fluid and opened it up. That required a special star shaped screwdriver head, but it wasn't too fiddly. It took a long time to clean and dry the keyboard, but after a few hours of drying the keyboard worked good as new. I relate this tale here because it may be useful to others. You CAN rescue this keyboard from disaster by gently separating the two internal membranes and mopping and drying. However, that's not why this keyboard and mouse combo gets only one star. To begin with the mouse was quite useable, and a nice shape for my hand, but over time (about a month of heavy daily use) the mouse wheel started giving me problems. The wheel has a soft, rubbery feel, and to begin with that was fine. But it didn't take long for the wheel to pick up the oil or grease from my finger. I don't think I'm an especially greasy or oily person (?), but after a while the wheel just stopped turning when applying light pressure. It became a case of having to press on the wheel, but not hard enough to trigger a click. That was incredibly frustrating, leading to many misses and unintentional actions. Eventually the wheel became effectively unusable, and I have moved on to another manufacturer.

Comfortable and robust keyboard with a very long battery life.
This is the third HP wireless keyboard I've owned and I was after a white one specifically. I have just bought an ACER all-in-one desktop PC (silver and white) and the white keyboard looks seriously cool in front of it. I paired it with a Logitech m235 mouse and a black Kensington Mousepad.

Squeaky mouse!!! (Yes really!!)
Very good, comfy keyboard, useable mouse good value for money HOWEVER . . 2 months in and my mouse has started squeaking (yes no pun!!!) every time I use the wheel to scroll it squeaks and it is doing my head in! Not quite sure what to do don’t think I can oil it?! Isn’t really a link to contact re support on this as such and too late for return - don’t really want to return just want a mouse that doesn’t squeak!!

El producto recibido estaba usado
El producto que he recibido estaba usado. Presentaba esparadrapos en la parte trasera y tenía las pilas puestas. Me parece increíble que no se revisen estas cosas.
