Liquitex BASICS Gesso Surface Prep Medium, 473ml (16-oz) Bottle, White

I buy this on repeat for my acrylic paintings. I prefer this type of bottle as it seals well between uses and is easy to pour out onto my paintings. It brings out the vibrancy of the colors and provides a finishing touch. Good product!

Goes on easily and evenly, dries quickly, adheres well, gives a nice toothiness to the surface so with a little sanding acrylic paint goes on well and smooth, works great on wood and canvas. Liquitex is a great brand and this is an awesome product for the price.

Nice primer works nice with my art projects

As a budget item, it performs as it should. The coverage is good and like the regular gesso, will require layers. I'd say more than the brands regular gesso. There is a strong smell that isn't a deal breaker for me. Just thought I'd caution those of you with smell sensitivities. To me, it's thin, but not watery and it pours out smoothly. It's great for applying a thin layer over collage. For painting, it provides a nice smooth surface. 4 stars only due to the smell.
