The only thing keeping me from giving this product 5 stars is the fact that the audio alarm only plays for 2 minutes, instead of playing until I choose to turn it off. As a heavy sleeper, it makes me nervous that I might be tired enough one day to sleep through those 2 minutes and the continuing light to not be enough to get me up. If there is a way to bypass this time limit, I will change my review to a full five stars, but there is nothing in the instructions to suggest that it is possible. The light itself is very bright and warm in a way that definitely helps to gently wake you up without feeling blinding to freshly opened eyes. I found setting the clock up to be a little counter-intuitive to most alarms I've used in the past. Even so, the instructions included are very clear so I don't really count that against the product. I'll be using my phone as a back-up alarm (set 15 minutes after the sunrise alarm clock) so that I don't have to worry about sleeping through it. I will update this review in a few weeks after I've put it through its paces.

As a lamp and a radio, this was fine out of the box. However, the primary reason I bought this was to use as an alarm clock... which is clearly this machine's primary purpose . That function failed to work despite unplugging and resetting numerous times. You would think there would be some level of quality control or testing before it went out the door. Hopefully the company will reach out and provide a new one that does work before I just have to return this. The review will stay like this until I get a working unit.UPDATE - Sep '17. Kudos to Beiwas for reaching out after my review. They were very responive and went above and beyond to make things right. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Since quality was the question, I will update if the new unit doesn't live up to expectations... That being said, I am optimistic! Upgrading from 1 star to 4.

With the days getting shorter I was having trouble waking up in the dark, so I needed a timed light to help wake me up but didn't want to just put one of my lamps on a timer.For the price this isn't bad if you can mute all the sounds. The light does gradually come on as advertised, but all the sound options are just horrible and even the radio comes in grainy.So if you're looking for just a light then this would work, but if you want sounds to wake up to as well, I'd keep looking. I only kept this because I eventually figured out how to mute all the sounds and just use the sunrise light simulation part, but it took a bit and I was nearly ready to send it back.

This is a reasonable cheap option for a wake up light. Buttons are very touchy - have to be pressed with just the right amount of force and held down for just the right amount of time. I actually can't get the alarm to set, can't get the buttons to respond to my touch, but my wife was able to get it to go. It doesn't get very bright - would be enough light to read by at full strength though. You can turn the display off, which is a nice feature. So far it wakes me up about 10-15 minutes into the 30 minute wake up cycle. There doesn't seem to be any way to change the duration of the light, stuck at 30 minutes.

Overall, it's pretty good, especially of you aren't looking to spend money on the more popular one. It's kind of annoying to set, but what really gets the 3 star is that my set music alarm plays for a minute or two before shutting off. Granted, I can just turn the music back on but I've slept through the music. My old alarm would just keep playing music until I turned it off and I miss that. I like the light though, esp for early waking up. It won't wake me up but it will make waking up more pleasant.

There were several things about the clock that I didn't like. The main one was that the light that shines with the alarm did not make the room look bright like the sunrise. Maybe it will in the winter when it is still dark outside. It was way too complicated to use. You know I don't want to read a booklet to learn how to change the radio station. I tried to change the channel a month later (when the instructions had long been thrown away) and couldn't figure it out. Also the clock did not keep accurate time. It lost a couple of minutes every week or so. I did not try to return it. For the price it wasn't with the effort. The changing glowing light looks awesome at night time (according to my 11 yr old). If it was marketed as a changing glowing light, and I bought it for that purpose; I would have given it 5 stars.

Not my cup of tea.Pros:Takes up little space.Allows you to change colors and sounds.Can turn off the display all together while still retaining your alarm (loved this feature).Cons:When turning off the display, if you have the alarm set and hit the button to turn the display back on - whoops you'll turn off the alarm first, no more snooze.The lightest display mode was still quite bright for me.The wake to the sun 30 minutes early couldn't all together be turned off. Additionally it didn't wake me (but that's just me not the clock). It was easy to just hit the sun icon and turn it off though.I was okay with the snooze button which was easily enabled by touching the icon. However, has stated above, one small touch of another button and the snooze is off - not good for me.I ended up sending the clock back as it just didn't work out for me.

I was having a hard time waking up this winter with it still being dark outside in the morning... This has helped so much! There's about a hundred of these alarm clocks with various brands, all seem about the same. It took a while to get this set up properly. The radio refuses to really let me pick a station, just scanning and jumping and never settling where I want it to... but frankly, I got this for the light, not the radio. Also took me a couple days to get the noise part of the alarm to turn off again after a power outage reset the whole thing. Now it's working great. Just a gentle light, no noise, 30 minutes before my alarm time is set. Makes waking up so much easier now. And the light is great at night, too. It's a soft light, or I have the option of one of the colored lights if I want.
