Superb book
Having followed the YouTube channel I was a little sceptical that a book could do the series justice. How wrong could I be! The front cover depicts many things but for me Whitby Abbey stands out and add to that a two pages on the town itself the book gets a huge thumbs up.This isn't a trainspotters book it's a great guide to the railways of mainland Britain and and could be considered a modern version of Bradshaws guide. Vicki and Geoff brought to life the people, places, trains, stations and life of the railways. Little bits like the Stats, the Moquettes, most and least used stations the staff and of course Vicki's 'Quaint Scale' make the book a 'must read' book. The humour of the videos comes through in the photos, maps and writing. I simply love it.Can I recommend it? Yes most definitely. This is one of the books I have that will take pride of place on my bookshelf and will be revisited over and over. Thanks Vicki and Geoff. Britain Needs more railways ... we need more Vicki and Geoff.

Train journeys and adventures to be had
My son's and I loved every minute of this book. Vicki and Geoff are great at encouraging people to get out and explore by rail. We plan on doing exactly that and this book is a great guide to various things to see and do but ultimately it encourages us to get talking to people to and this is the best way to start our journeys. Awesome book and these two come across as nice as they do on YouTube. Very highly recommend.

Stunningly good book
This is truly a fabulous book. I enjoyed so much the YouTube “All the Stations” and watch them again and again. This book is of a similar high quality. Well written. We learn about the UK’s railway stations, lines and more. Stunning photos too.One of the highlights is the encouragement from both Vicki and Geoff to get out there and explore the country by rail. I certainly will be taking up this challenge.

Nice photos.
Oh, dear. I really wanted to like this book, but unfortunately it’s not very well written. The sentences in the text are quite often mangled. You sometimes have to read sentences a few times to understand the point being made. Frequently the rereading is not worth it.It reads like two friends have been on a holiday which they loved and now want to regale you with anecdotes about the trip. My reaction to many of them is ‘perhaps you had to be there’. The best bit about the books are the photographs it contains which are interesting and nicely reproduced.

A fab companion piece to All The Stations
This is nicely written and great as a coffee table book. It is as interesting to non railway fans as it is to enthusiasts. My only reservation (hence four stars) is that due to the fab quality of Geoff and Vicki's videos, after two chapters I found myself jumping onto YouTube. Not sure if this is just a sign of the times or them being masters of a different media. I will definitely be ordering Vicki's next book. Sorry Geoff but the underground doesn't shunt my sprinter.
