Spellbinders Nest Abilities Hemstitch Rectangles Etched/Wafer Thin Dies

I make a lot of handmade cards and love the look of these unusual frames. These are versatile, too, because you can make a solid backdrop frame with the design, a plain no-design backdrop frame or a photo frame look using any combo of these. You do have to take a little extra time poking out the holes, but it’s easy to do with a poker tool. Works great in my Big Shot.

There are very few Spellbinder dies that I do NOT like - they make very good dies. The Hemstitched Rectangles are no exception, they are very beautiful and add an excellence to any handmade project. I happen to make homemade cards and this is a versatile die set in my stash.

Needs a shim if using 65# weight paper. Prepare to take a lot of times to get the pieces out.

The lovely thing about these expensive frames is that they include a lot of sizes to cut. Each cut has an option of adding a "hem stitch" to make equi-distant small squares all along the edge. They cut very well, even throug 160 lb watercolor paper. I really like them.

The best part about the use of these dieis that you just don’t see this effect very often. Equally good is the clean cut, without shims. Love them and plan to use them frequently.

These dies are beautiful! Do be aware that the hemstitch die does not cut out the outer dimension - must use the plain rectangle die (included with the set) for that. The hemstitch die looks very pretty on a card front by itself as a border.

This makes such a lovely and elegant edging in a choice of sizes. The set also includes a plain rectangle about 1/4" larger than each hemstitch die. I love the way these look and the set will no doubt get regular use here.

Spellbinder products are always top of the line. Work well for card making.
