Orilis 4 Ft 4-Light 96W Elegant Bronze Flush Mount Hardwired Ceiling Fixture - (4) 24W LED T8 Tubes Included - 4500K - 12000 Lumens

I wanted to update my 80s light fixture (picture included). But, I found out it is really difficult to find a nice fluorescent light fixture, like for your kitchen, that is also bright and doesn't look like it belongs in a workshop or garage. I searched for weeks, days and hours. I ended up buying one that was gorgeous in theory (last picture from website), but ended up being extremely dim and made my kitchen look too yellow because of the thick frosted painted bronze plastic shade over it. Even the brightest whitest fluorescent lights could not remedy this $400 fixture that cast a darkness in my kitchen. FYI I like my kitchen to be VERY bright.Luckily I found this one, which is not the prettiest most elegant light, with that cheap looking bright white plastic shade, but sure beats the medieval darkness fixture, or my old 80s one. My old 80s fixture was brighter because the shade on it was that clear bumpy plastic and was also a T8 4-light. This one uses LED T8 tubes only, and this 4500 K temperature is a little too "cool" for my liking along with that really white shade this light comes with. I prefer a more yellow bright light which I will try to order in the LEDs on Amazon. Honestly if I had to do it again, I would get track lighting and patch the holes in the ceiling from previous large footprint light. Track lighting looks nicer and is probably able to give you a brighter light that isn't that unnatural white. Fluorescent fixtures just don't look like they belong in a nice house anymore. The light came in and looked beautiful. Our builder installed it in our house and only 2 out of the 4 bulbs were working. I e-mailed the seller via Amazon's contact the seller form, and they e-mailed me back next business day with their phone number. Turns out the seller is also the manufacturer and the guy on the phone knew exactly what was wrong with it (loose wire on one of the bulb holders). He sent me pictures of how to to fix it myself or offered to send a replacement wire harness. I opted to fix it myself. Amazing customer support, and a great product. This light put out a ton of light and looks great.
