Fairly easy setup and it does actually work. Reasonably priced so i could test
I purchased so i could get a better cell signal from my boat to nearest tower. Mystic CT has terrible reception (very few towers) - so i wanted to test using a cheaper product i didn't want to go all in cause my marina is upgrading their wifi soon. I work from my boat and was not getting enough wifi or cell to work from it so i had to do something. This did the trick i attached antenna to one of my Radio antenna's and pointed at tower in the area and it does enough to do my Zooms using hotspot. I didn't like that i had to sign up and put my information on their sight for it to work though.. negative. Update 7/14/23 - i do still like this unit and getting used to how it works. Cell phone needs to be within 10ft and you need to have it plugged in cause it does draw extra power from ph battery. I have since installing top of boat to moving it to a piling next to my boat on a 10ft pole. This will be a more permanent location till the fall when i will move to my house as i have bad cell service but use mostly wifi at the house. I am happy with this purchase it does enough for me to work remote.

Great value .
Considering it only cost me $90 with the coupon .. this thing is a great value . I have a weBoost unit as well that I paid over $500 for ..... Which works wonderful. But it definitely doesn't work $400 better than this little unit

Good product, but not perfect
I'll start with the good points first: Our cabin is in a weak signal area where phones don't work at all indoors and outdoors, you have to be up on the roof to even get one bar. When I installed this booster we had a great signal and could even watch Youtube videos with no problems. It also will run by plugging it directly into a USB port, which is great for our off-grid setup, so I don't have to run the inverter to use it, which is more efficient. My complaints are that is does not emit a strong signal very far from the unit. I'd say it has a working range of about 10 feet for a strong signal, but further for non-data use. It also will not give us a 5G signal on our phones and is 4G instead, despite the tower being 5G. I'm assuming its because the signal was very weak coming in.

Still working on it!
Sooo. I bought this for my hunting camp in north Fl. Terrible reception in my area. I tryed it out at my house near daytona beach and on two different days. The outside anttenna is 16 ft in the air on a pole. I get 2-3=bars on iPad and phone outside most of the time. I set system up so inside transmitter is in a shed on opposite side of outside antenna for testing purposes. I will say it dose improve cell signal a bit but I don’t see a big increase. I think if you have a good signal outside ,it will transmitte it inside. But actually helping with weak signal? I don’t know yet. Will try it at camp next week

It works
Bought to use in my camper, it seems to help the signal, so I'm happy. No more buffering during Netflix movies

Signal strength only part of the story
I wanted an inexpensive cell booster for working at the campsite. Although this unit is designed for more permanent installation on a house, for example, because it comes with a pole clamp, it can be mounted on a telescoping pole. The set up instructions, while not for a novice, are very clear. And when I contacted customer support, they were very helpful. At the campsite I ran the pole up about 22 feet and snaked the wire into my camper. I managed enough signal without the booster to determine the locations of a couple of cell towers and took aim. Pay close attention to the distance parameters in the instructions and place the inside unit in the blind spot. After some fiddling I got 4 green bars and a signal on my iphone of about -85db. However, the throughput was still dismal. I noticed at different times of day the performance was in the range of ok (early morning, before anyone was up) to unusable (most of the day). All with a solid signal. Support confirmed my installation setup and said that the cell carrier may not have enough bandwidth to support the density of users in my area. It makes a certain kind of sense given that the campground is near a high traffic tourist town (incidentally, performance at the beach (without the booster) was terrible also, even with a tower in town). All to say, I don't blame the booster. I think it's fantastic. I blame my carrier. I am going to try a hotspot with a different carrier and see.

Not for our home
I'm sure it will work for those in rural areas, but it did not work out for us. Possibly we did not understand how to use it, but we followed the instructions. We returned it.
