Works surprisingly well
The only issue I have with this item is the short focal length, but I'm not sure they could really make it any better. I bought it in order to scope the main sewer line in my house. The video I got from it was clear enough to make out the condition of the pipe. Unfortunately, I could not get the electrical fish tape to go beyond a certain junction in the pipe, which I think is a 90° tee. I used it with a Mac laptop, which requires the download of VLC and some instructions are given for opening the camera inside the software. I had to adjust the size of the video in the software, but once I did I had a full-screen view of the pipe, or at least the portion of the pipe the camera was close to. The LED light was bright enough to see in the complete darkness. I saw some 1-star reviews complaining that cord isn't stiff enough to feed the camera down a hole. I guess it would be good for them to point out that you need to attach it to something that will feed down the hole you are trying to see inside of. I think that anything beyond 1 foot would require something to guide it. In my case, an electrical fish tape did the job pretty well. Just use some electrical tape to attach the camera head to the tape and you are good to go. I can see lots of uses for this camera around the house and car.

Nice picture at 720p resolution. Android was a bit of a struggle
Rating this 4-star because of price (it was about half off). At full price it is 3 or less. Package looks good quality and the endoscope is nice with stiff cable to get the camera where needed. Includes decent set of accessories. My problems were mostly software related. The qr code for Android is wrong. Both point to the Apple Store. I did not want to sideload the APK from China. You need the "moqo view" app from Google Play. Install it. Charge the WiFi dongle for the endoscope, plug the camera on the side with the LED lights and the button. Press the button once to turn the device on. Wait 20 sec or so. Enable wifi on your phone/tablet and select the network that starts with YPC-... The password is 12345678. Launch the moqo app on your device. You should be able to see the picture from the endoscope. Under settings you can change the resolution. I was able to save screen grabs by pressing the corresponding button in the moqo app. Not sure about video as I could not find it if it saved it.To turn off the device tap the small round button twice. I used this with a Nexus wifi tablet. I read that if you use it on a phone you might need to turn off the phone radio (airplane mode) and just turn on wifi. Charging is from the other end with any micro-USB phone charger. Not bad for the money.Edit: Video actually works and the clips can be seen from the moqo app - 3rd icon brings picture and video tabs

Better than expected!
This little camera is so worth the money. Others who had problems with this product must not understand tech, or just got one that was produced on a Monday. I used a Mac and although the software they recommend to use did not work, the photo booth software works great. It can be plugged in hot with the app open. The feed automatically switches between the builtin laptop or computer camera and the inspection camera when its plugged in.The quality is clear and focused within about 6 to 12 inches. Anything over 12 inches begins to be blurry, but it can still be made out significantly enough to determine what it is up to 5 feet. However, if it is being used in a pipe, the focus range is only capable within 1 foot due to lighting and other factors such as water a waist in the piping. This is to be expected. The quality is fantastic and I highly recommend this item for checking out sewer lines or getting rings or other metal items that may have been lost down sinks or toilets by kids. It comes with a small magnet that clips to the end of the camera and it works great.I recommend buying pex piping the same length (minus 5 feet or so) to stick the inspection camera in so that it is rigid enough to actually be able to push it down the piping. Without something like this, you won't get it very far as it is no stiff enough to snake it down on its own. I siliconed the camera into the end of the pex piping with the first 2 or three inches sticking out so that the attachments could be installed if needed and it works great so far.

or within easy reach, of the switch box hole by manipulating ...
I bought this camera to help with rewiring a house, replacing knob and tube wiring (lath and plaster walls). To rewire wall switches and wall mounted light fixtures, it is necessary to drill holes in the attic above each box; in some cases to drill a hole in the switch box to allow the new cable from above. The challenge is how to get the cable from the attic to the hole in the box.I taped the camera to a fiberglass fish tape and lowered the fiberglass rod and camera into the drilled hole from above. Watching the image on the laptop, I am able to lower the camera gradually, locate the metal box, and then to pilot the camera and fish tape into, or within easy reach, of the switch box hole by manipulating the fiberglass rod. Previously I used strings and magnets; this is much easier; a huge improvement. This particular camera was selected due to the small head size, high ratings, and easy compatibility with a MAC laptop, with the VLC reader. Fabulous for this use.

5 stars for durability
Worked great with a MacBook Air if you download VLC. After you plug it in, it comes up as a capture device. The video quality was actually quite good, and the wire is kinda flimsy so you need to attach it to fish tape as mentioned in other reviews. I also recommend keeping it to 2" or larger PVC if you have any turns because we got ours stuck after a right angle near a sink when the camera turned sideways. We had to open up the wall and saw the PVC to get it out, but in the process we found out that the cable was strong enough to handle our tugging and pulling and hanging on it with 200+ lb body weight. After all was said and done, the glass that keeps it waterproof was cracked but the camera and LEDs still worked as if they were new.
