Two Broke Girls Season One is funny with warmth, but it is definitely not for children.
Two Broke Girls is not my favorite situation comedy. I consider Frasier and The Big Bang Theory to be the best of that genre. To me, Frasier is the best of the sit-com subcategory that includes The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, both Bob Newhart shows, and Cheers. These shows have a certain level of sophistication. The Big Bang Theory is in a subcategory by itself. It shows that science/technology nerds can evolve and find love as well as those who were the "cool" kids in high school when the nerds were not. Two Broke Girls is in the subcategory that includes Everybody Loves Raymond and the first incarnation of Will and Grace. They may not be sophisticated by they are extremely funny.Even though it is not my favorite sit-com, I think that Two Broke Girl is very, very funny with moments of warmth. I didn’t watch it during its initial run on broadcast TV. I just saw scattered episodes in its syndication. From that, I decided to get the DVD sets for all six seasons, even though I have read that its cancellation caused some storylines to be left dangling. I never understood the amount of money shown at the end of each episode. Since I have seen every episode of the first season, I now understand.Something that sticks out in every episode of Two Broke Girls is that it appears that the producers caused the network censors to disappear. It is amazing how they can get away with what they say. Some of the “dirty” lines are obvious. Others require the viewer to already be familiar with the “dirty” activity which is being obliquely referenced. Because of that, many of the lines will go “over the heads” of viewers. Personally, because I read extensively, I understood every line. This is not a show for children.I enjoyed the first season DVDs of Two Broke Girls. I look forward to viewing the second season.

I really enjoy watching this series until it was taken of certain channels with the Dish.
I thought I only bought one episode of the first season not the whole complete season? It’s good that I am able to purchase which ever episode I want rather than have to choose between all of them? I don’t know why this series is not on air anymore or why it was canceled but I like how you can go back and look at the old episodes and the new episodes in prime video.

Not for the easily offended
I love this show. The dynamic between Max and Caroline is great from the beginning, and it only gets better through the seasons. The extra characters just make the show that much more special.

I am in love with Kat Dennings!
Seriously, I love her SO MUCH! I have never seen an actor who could deliver the snark line after line after line, and keep it as amazingly fresh and well delivered as she does. She has a great team of writers giving her AWESOME lines to deliver, and they are awesome. Even just her delivery of surprise lines like "NO WAY!" is awesome. My wife and I first saw her in Thor, and loved her in it (she was really the only part of that movie we liked), and we were pleasantly surprised to see her in 2 Broke girls alongside Beth Behrs -- even though Beth really just serves as the primary thing-to-be-mocked.Make no mistake, 2 Broke Girls is raunchy. It is NOT for younger viewers. The pilot alone should send that message. And I can see where the claims of racism, etc. come from. But, if you are willing to acknowledge that all sides are getting shot at fairly, and there isn't real racism, sexism or anything else terrible on display (just uncomfortable at times), then you should enjoy the show.2 Broke Girls certainly pushes boundries, but the show is incredibly funny, and well acted. You can totally side with either girl in any given moment, and it is easy to sympathize with Kat's character "Max" when she shows her tender, emotionally-wounded side sometimes, and it is easy to sympathize with Beth's character "Caroline" -- pretty much all the time.Yes, the show is raunchy, and yes it can be uncomfortable at times, but it is still hilarious, and like I said, I love Kat Dennings.5 stars.

funny show about a rich white girl now broke, living in brooklyn, working at a diner, and a dream of a cupcake business. funnY!
This is one of the best comedies on TV. The writing is hilarious, but the real gem is the actresses and the way they deliver it. It's created by a woman and starring two women so that is why I first decided to support it, but I quickly fell in love. I mean come on Stiffler's mom is in this show ( Jennifer Coolidge) all grown up and still hot as the Polish neighbor who wears clothes too tight and falls in love with Olaf the sex crazed hairy chef. Max is used to living poor with a life of survival. Her delivery of the lines doesn't need a laugh track, because she will have you rolling on your own. Caroline Channing is a rich white girl who lived a life of privilege until her father's ponzy scheme came crashing down stripping her of everything except her clothes and her pearls. She is forced to work as a waitress and live with Max in Brooklyn or be homeless. The show is about their struggles of being poor, working at the diner, and trying to make it with a dream of owning a cupcake business. You can't help but love the story and the characters. 10/10 recommend.

Funny show
This is our first time watching this show, and we started with season one. It's a good premise, and the actors do a good job. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I don't like it as well as other comedies, such as Big Bang or Last Man Standing. It is still worth the watch, as long as you don't mind a lot of sexual humor.

2 Broke Girls Indeed
The media could not be loaded. Live this show. It is funny and definitely provides great storylines and entertainment. Especially like the rich girl denoted to poor house theme and must rely on her Street smart friend theme. This season is the only one that was released on blu-ray. Too bad the studio decided to release the rest of the series on DVD. Despite this, definitely recommend this show led by Kat Dennings & Beth Behrs. Special Features and HD is good.

Great Series!
Absolutely love this series! What's not to love about 2 broke girls, cupcakes, a cast of quirky co-wrokers, and sassier-then-life next door neighbour? This series is my go-to whenever I need some good laughs and a couple of eyebrows that need a good lifting :P I would definitely recommend this series to anyone that's looking to try a new sitcom.
