EcoScraps SLPM14IN1501 Potting Media Mix, 1.5 Cubic Feet

I bought a couple bags recently to try it out for a change, usually I go for FoxFarm or Roots Organics soils. I would pretty much consider this a seed starting soil, it's 70% coir, 20% perlite, & 10% compost. So on the nutrients side, it seems to run out rather quickly. I was getting this soil with the intent of growing vegetables (it is organic soil) however I have learned that it's nutrient content depletes rather quickly and I needed to use fertilizer and add extra compost a little earlier then I expected. The soil is nice and light, all seeds I started in this soil sprouted (100% germination rate). The mature plants that I transplanted had a slower growth rate compared to other plants that were in an Ocean forest mix and/or a Roots organics mix. This may be better off for flowers then it is for vegetables, but I am going to give an update later and see how my pepper plant does in this soil. Overall, I am a happy customer.
