Always good
MKA always delivers a delightful, easy to follow summer story involving a beach setting. I always choose to read them in the winter to anticipate the coming one and to be the winter blues.

Enjoyable!
This was a quick but enjoyable read. The many twists and turns were predictable but fun. Characters were believable and interesting.

Entertaining but some characters annoying
Overall - not the spunky, sassy characters that I recall from former MKA books but still and entertaining, light read. The mystery aspect is a nice twist on a straight romance story and keeps you guessing.Spoiler - most characters were one dimensional and sometimes just ridiculous. Grayson was particularly absurd. It was like she was living in 1990 and had never heard of the internet. And she’s a lawyer who suddenly feels the need to “save” a small town newsletter even though she has no experience? And give up her marriage over it? What?Story would’ve been more appropriately set in Georgia- Florida is not “southern” in the sense that Lorraine is portrayed as a southern belle. All in all - a fabulous read for free - included in Kindle Unlimited (much better than most, the KU library is generally devoid of quality reads).

I despised reading...
I hadn't picked up and read a book in over 10 years. I gave this author and book a shot. I finished it in a week..... I couldn't put it down!!!

Great Read. Hard to this one down. Even kept my hard core Marine Corps husband interested.
Action carried all the way through while at the same time full of interesting characters. Good read for anyone who enjoys very believable twists and turns of small town life and family drama.

Average
I’m a huge fan of the author and eagerly await her summer read especially as I’m an annual visitor to the Florida panhandle where I have found a sleepy seaside spot that I call my happiest place on earth. I love Mary Kay’s depictions of this life in fiction. This one was a fun read but perhaps not her best story. There is a very long build up which is still worthwhile and interesting but I think I wanted more of a surprise somewhere. Nevertheless a fun read and a mental holiday to my favourite spot, in a year where travel there isn’t allowed.
