This is a great bullet proof vest for a handgun but not so much for a shotgun!

I actually painted like the Punisher vest for Halloween since the other ones weren't gonna come in time for Halloween, wasn't gonna let my son with out costume and it looked better than I could have expected

The media could not be loaded.  I give this vest a four-star rating since it's comfortable, lightweight, and easy to move around in. I can fit 12X10 plates in it, but bigger would be ideal. This is a fantastic option if you're looking for an economical vest, and it would be even better if they offered more size options. even so, it still looks cool. Patches are not included with this product; however, it does come with a SWAT patch. I was merely displaying my own patches because they match the vest well. I'm pleased with this product.

Ok, I am a slightly larger dude, donning a 2XL shirt (for comfort), though XL's still fit and look fine...it's a borderline transitional thing. Lol. Anyways, I went with the 2XL of the vest as well. This does fit good with some slack for sure. This can be tightened down to fit someone in between though. I asked a question before purchase about the hook & loop portion on the flap for the front plate. For anyone wondering, it is a loop fastening, so any patches will need to be hook backed. Additionally, the size of the entire loop area on that front flap, is 1.5" x 9.5". I haven't tried putting any actual plates into it yet, so cannot comment about so. For cosplay needs though, where you may need a BPV and not just a tactical one, it'll surely work. Seems sturdy so far. Weight of the vest isn't anything to worry about, it's light. Give it a shot! Get it? lol.
