I could tell a difference after twenty minutes of taking this. It’s a higher dose, but just PERFECT for my needs. It did not give me jitters, or make me hyper. Basically, it made me feel awake and effortless. It took away the sluggish, “no energy” feeling all day. I am focused, and got tasks done that I started around the house. I definitely recommend it. Do your research re: dosing, as there are various strengths.

To clarify for this product, these pills are a 400mg mixture of processed 1600mg of Guarana extract.I don't know what they took out, or what they kept.The Straight.com review of this product lists:"ProsProvides a natural energy boostMade with high-quality, pure ingredientsContains antioxidant properties"and cautions against irritability. This review fits, and I believe, then, that this is more of a cheaper caffeine product. If you are the Guarana + nootropic type, I wouldn't recommend this.

I have been using Guarana for years. Since I don’t drink coffee, it gives me a nongittery boast.

I have been taking a much lower dose of Guarana for years, giving me energy when needed . It only has 500 mg and Carlyle says it has 1600 mg. Not true. I tried double the dose of Carlyle brand and nothing.I can't believe I can't return it. The Alfa product has only 500 mg and very much works!

The normal Guarana product I always ordered, was discontinued. This was offered instead. I like it. It's time released..so not a big jolt once you take it..I don't drink coffee, so this is a good substitute.
