A Fun Batman Film!
Michael Goguen’s 2005 direct-to-video film, “The Batman vs. Dracula,” takes place within the continuity of “The Batman,” the 2004 – 2008 animated series that aired on Kids WB. The story begins with the Joker and Penguin escaping from Arkham Asylum to seek a mysterious buried fortune in a graveyard. They inadvertently wake Dracula, whose remains had been moved to Gotham. Dracula begins turning Gotham’s citizens into vampires, using the Penguin as his day-time lieutenant in the style of Renfield in Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel. Posing as Dr. Alucard, Dracula also insinuates himself into high society, targeting Bruce Wayne. The two confront each other, but Batman gets the upper hand. Dracula turns the Joker, who becomes a fiend. As Batman works to find a cure for the Joker, Alfred realizes that Dracula plans to resurrect his bride, Carmilla Karnstein, named in reference to Sheridan Le Fanu’s 1879 novella. Dracula wants to use Vicki Vale to resurrect Carmilla. Things come to a head with Batman and Alfred working to cure Gothamites’ vampirism and stop Dracula’s plans. The film is a fun enough animated Batman film. Not quite on the level of “Mask of the Phantasm,” but better than others. It was the first and only animated feature in the continuity of “The Batman” and released during the second season of the show. “The Batman” was an interesting re-vamp of the Batman mythology with unique character designs, great voice acting, and solid animation. It was the second-longest Batman animated series since the interconnected storylines of the DC Animated Universe. “The Batman vs. Dracula” includes some nice creative references to Bram Stoker’s novel as well as other Dracula adaptations and vampire stories. Elements of the film reference the Elseworlds storyline that began in Doug Moench, Kelley Jones, and Malcolm Jones III’s “Batman & Dracula: Red Rain,” though this film is not as dark due to the family audience.

"The Batman vs Dracula" delivers on the goods and leaves you very well satisfied. This movie is awesome with its visuals
One of the most underrated and underappreciated animated movies that DC has ever pushed out, "The Batman vs Dracula" delivers on the goods and leaves you very well satisfied. This movie is awesome with its visuals, dark tone, and overall atmosphere. *WARNING* not recommended for younger viewers without parental guidance due to its scary visuals, violent situations, and a few scenes with more blood than thought necessary.Plot summed up quickly: Dracula is woken up by The Penguin (on accident) and decides to make Gotham City his new kingdom as The Batman tries to figure out a way to stop him and cure all the innocents that have been transformed into vampires. This movie follows the mid 2000s series "The Batman", which I recommend watching as well. My main complaint with the series as a whole is some of the character designs and Mr. Freeze's backstory ruins his character story. But once you look past that it's a truly wonderful series. Everything that was awesome in the series is definitely present in this movie, which takes place somewhere between seasons 1 and 3. You have the flashy movements, well animated action, fantastic voice acting as well, but since this is an unrated animated feature they were able to up the anty a bit and add very nice visuals with the vampire minions, lots of neck biting, and a nice touch with when they use darkness in this film.My recommendation for watching this is if you get a chance switch your tv's video setting to monochrome and enjoy this as a black and white film, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Hello, wonderful people at Amazon lol , First off let me say I ordered this for my nephew whom is 6 and is OBSESSED with batman, He loves batman so much, his hole world is Batman lol, He had just about every single Item any store sells, except this one and a couple others I have also ordered from Amazon. Now let's get to it, I got it in the mail today, and stopped by his house and dropped it off, he opened it and Whoa it was the most happiest smile, I have seen since Christmas LOL I just want to say the package was very nicely wrapped and the figurines have such detail, it's amazing really, I didn't stay to watch the movie, but I did call and ask how it was, My sister said she actually sat down to watch it and it was so exiting she said batman and Dracula go into battle and it's very hard for batman to defeat him and he can't and I forgot what else she said LOL But I definitely say if you want to get this it is way worth it!!! Like Roger Ebert would say "I give it two thumbs up" hehe Have a nice day now...

Pretty Standard Plot, Unusual Bad Guy
This is a pretty standard Batman movie:Dracula is revived. He makes more vampires. Lots of them.Batman has to put a stop to this, as Gotham is slowly turning 100% vampire. It's an unusual villain for Batman, to be sure. There's no real explanation for how Dracula, killed in his castle in Transylvania, ended up in Gotham's cemetery in a coffin which I presume was filled with Transylvanian soil, since that is what he must rest in every day per the standard understanding of vampires.

Gran película pero el artículo (caja y disco) deja mucho que desear.
La caja venía sucia y con algunos tallones en la portada, el disco con marcas apenas visibles.

The best addition to concluded the hit tv animated series from the 2000's
I discover that my The Batman The Complete Animated Series doesn't included The Batman vs Dracula, in which this doesn't make the product a "complete animated series" more like uncomplete at that point. Luckfully, I've found the movie and now it's been add in my now REAL complete animated series boxset.
