Q: Will this work with the 70D Canon?

yes, it will work with any camera that has a screen on the back. I use this for shooting outdoors when playback is hard to see in the bright sunlight. I absolutely love it and it even magnifies the image a little so you can really see what you shot. There's a screw hole on it but not sure what that's for as I never use it.

Q: I have a canon eos 70d (3" viewfinder) and eos 5d mk iii (3.2" viewfinder). will this work with both models or do i need two seperate loupes?

To cover both you would need the Hoodman 3.2" loupe. Otherwise you will no be able to see all of your 5d's screen. Search for Amazon # B00A0TLDSY to find the 3.2" loupe.

Q: Does this attach to the camera or do you have to hold it as you shoot?

They sell a set of rubber straps that will hold it on the camera. http://www.amazon.com/Hoodman-HSLRM-Cinema-Extended-Shooting/dp/B0020HRCHU/ref=pd_bxgy_p_text_y I bought them and they work fine. However I do not use them. It's too easy just to hold it on with my left hand which both supports my 70D and holds the Loupe against the screen.

Q: Will this fit a cannon sx500is

I have canon 6D and the LCD screen is 3"x2" and goodman just fits perfect. Hope this helps
