THESE WORK!!!
Seriously, if you want your child to learn a new language, Little Pim WORKS!!! Our daughter is 2 1/5 and started watching these a year ago. She picked up on it very quickly and says many things in German now! I recommend watching them with your little one, because they will start saying words in German before you know it! These 3 discs are more than enough to start a child speaking, but we now bought more videos on the iPad plus the flash cards. We love Little Pim!

Effective - Simple enough for 1 year old
I like all the Lil Pim series - its the same images overlayed with different text and narration. The images and narration are very effective though. They keep my ~1 year old's attention for an hour and I have heard her say "banana" with a "b" (not nana) since watching the videos for a couple months.

A+++ buy for my family.
My kids ages 7, 6 and 1 love little pim. A great buy when teaching a new language. I Enjoy it too. Easy to follow along. It has options for repeat play and English subtitles.

Best for preschoolers
I bought this as a supplement to the McGraw-Hill audio program. The DVD content is good, and kudos for sparing buyers from watching ads for something else (like nearly all other children's DVDs). However, it is very simple images or video followed by a word or words describing the object or action. It is fairly interesting to my 3 1/2 year old, but my 5 1/2 year old says it's boring and doesn't watch it much. I would buy only for children well under 5.

Great sources for kid to learn German
My daughter loves to watch these DVD set and really learned German from them. Even some episodes look so simple to learn in real life language.

I bought these to teach my two year old a third language, german. So far, he likes it and tells me that he wants to watch the panda. It's a 3 dvd set. I do recommend it.
