Excellent grass trimmer for cutting around the trees.
I've had this trimmer for a while now, I like it. It works really well around the small trees in the grass, as the lawnmower doesn't reach. The picture is deceptive as it does not come with the long hedge trimmer. Maybe just the option I ordered and didn't pay attention. Either way, I'm happy with it. The battery lasts a really long time on the charge. I charged it last summer when I used it and pulled this out yesterday to start trimming the summer grass around the trees and it works just fine. One word of advice, the back of the hand has a small kill switch plug that is tiny and can be lost very easily. It's pointless. I superglued it to the back since I didn't want to lose it again. If you do, that's it. It will not work. 5 stars.

Works to Trim My Grass Edges
It works for me to trim the edges of the lawn where I have scalloped edging. One day, it suddenly stopped working, even though the battery was charged. I was perplexed until I found the key, which I had totally forgotten about. Once I put the key in place, it is once again working like it had before.

MZK Cordless Grass Shear & Shrubbery Trimmer
The MZK shear is a good product for the money. It cuts the grass well as the shrubbery trimmer does. It's easy to use. When putting the two attachments on it, make sure the cogs line up. The only negative is the battery. It's not very strong for cutting for awhile. So be prepared to charge it frequently.

Works well
Worked well with fine trimming around my decorative edging and the fences between neighbors. Hedge clipper did well trimming a lilac bush. On the first use of the hedge trimmer blades I had an issue removing the blades, however they now snap in easy and are easy to remove. Light weight so easy to use as I have very small childlike hands.

Ensure the attachments click FIRMLY!
This is fine for an inexpensive hand trimmer. But make darn sure that the clippers are FIRMLY seated. I thought I had it pressed in place and turned it on and the clipper end fell off and onto my CUSTOM BUILT walnut and spalted maple dining table leaving a dent in the wood. I'm not going to deduct my rating because of my f'n momentary stupidity. Just be aware that you need to ensure it is firmly connected and not just sitting in place. I spent months building that table and hadn't put more than a light scratch in it's finish in six years and messed it up because of a cheap trimmer not locking firmly. As far as the rest, it cuts grass and very thin shrub stems. But don't expect it to do much beyond 1/16th of an inch in diameter. The motor is not strong and the gears are plastic.

you should probably buy a different trimmer
technically it does a good job of trimming. However it has two major problems. First of all it comes with a little safety key that goes into the back of the handle. This perhaps out super easily and I have already lost both of mine while trimming. as soon as I can determine you can’t just get a replacement safety key. In all likelihood you’ll be trimming something thick and bushy that will make it nearly impossible to find this tiny key which is about a half inch by half inch. It comes out very easily. I was fortunate that it popped off a couple of times and I was able to find it but despite the fact that it comes with an extra key, I’ve already lost both and I’ve only owned this thing a few weeks. the second problem is that you have to hit two switches in order to make it work and this can be hard on your hands to hold it like that. The grip is kind of painful. I wish I had bought something else.

Lightweight yet effective
Wonderful, lightweight hedge clippers. I used these to easily trim my grouping of boxwoods into ball shapes. They look great and were easy for me to use despite weakness in my hands/arms. I’m looking for other shrubs to trim!

It's OK for what I wanted it for
I am 75 yrs old and I wanted to be able to trim and shape some little bushes and shrub plants in the front of my house. I can't hold a heavy or big piece of equipment. This works pretty good to trim the small little plants and shrubs in my landscape area in front of my porch. The tools won't cut thru anything thick! Some people might consider it more like a toy set but it serves my purposes pretty good. I recommend it for small light jobs you may have especially if your older like me and just can't handle the larger equipment.
