Great camera, perfect fit, easy install...
Ford dealership wanted $700 to replace the camera on my Edge......Seriously? Bought this for less than $30, watched some Youtube videos, and replaced it myself in less than an hour. The camera fit perfectly, works right out of the box, image is super clear, night vision is fantastic, nice bright vivid color, cost is a big win, and didn't need to spend $700.

Able to install myself.
The backup camera started going on my 2012 Ford Edge. I was getting blue horizontal lines across my screen. Followed a public video and was able to replace the camera myself. If you can follow step-by-step instructions, you can also do it yourself. Camera works great. Picture quality is as good as original. Save some money!

Great Value
I purchased and installed this camera myself because the local Ford dealership was unable to obtain a part claiming there was a nationwide shortage. Additionally, their install cost was approximately $500. After purchasing this camera and buying a package of JB weld, I was able to successfully install this camera in approximately 30 minutes. The camera works great love it.

Camera picture is upside down
There is only one way to install camera. When install the picture is upside when I put in reverse. Picture is clear, just upside down.

Better than an error message on a black screen
So compared to OEM parts it is a fraction of the price that I could find anywhere online and it got here quick. The install on my 2012 Ford Explorer XLT was super quick and easy and required no modifications whatsoever. With a total of 4 10mm bolts and 2 11mm bolts the entire installation took about 5 minutes. With that said: first thing I noticed right off the bat as soon as I opened it is that it does not have the water resistant O-ring like the original ford part has. (See photo: OEM on left, China on right) because of this I can imagine that if I keep my car for another few years I’ll probably end up replacing it with an OEM part due to product failure caused by the lack of water resistance offered by the O-ring.Second, it appears that the picture is completely UPSIDE DOWN! (See photo) now this may be my fault and this camera may not be an exact replacement for my vehicle but I have no idea how this is even possible and there is no way to install the camera upside down in my vehicle. And lastly, The picture quality is definitely chinas best with a few extra grains compared to OEM. Maybe it’s a good thing the zoom feature doesn’t work because it would be like watching the original moon landing. All in all, as the title states, it’s better than a warning on a black screen. Would I buy it again? Honestly no, I would just spend a few extra dollars to buy an OEM part or at least a camera of higher quality.
