Works perfectly.
This was bought to replace a much similar model purchased for almost twice the price at our local wild bird store. We had to get a new one because something chewed through the cord of the last one. We loved the last one, and expect to love this one just as much. It works perfectly to keep liquid water available even in the hard winter months for our feathered and furred friends. It is also of a very sturdy construction.

Super easy
Super easy to use and put together. My area bird and squirrels love it. I live in southern IL, across the river from St Louis, so winter hasn’t fully hit yet. But when the regular bath is frozen, this one has not been. Water also does not evaporate in mine like some people state it is doing in the one they have. I am very happy with it.

Happy with it so far!
Happy with it so far. The installation directions are bad, but once I figured it out it installed easily. The tilt feature is nice and makes cleaning and refilling easy

Does not last
Very disappointing. I would have expected this item to last longer then two seasons. I purchased in 2021, installed winter of 2022. Used for 3 months that winter and 4 months the winter of 2023. This year its just now cold enough to freeze the water overnight and the heating element is no longer working. There does not seem to be a way to separate the unit to replace the heater.I think a ceramic bowl with a separate heating element that can be easily replaced instead of a built in one is the better way to go.

Keeps working winter after winter
I keep this mounted to my deck railing year after year, and it keeps working. Of course I'm very careful never to let it go dry when the heating element is on. If I go out of town, I unplug it. The birds and squirrels all stop to drink and bathe. Even the raccoon likes it for washing her food at night. I used to dump the water out using the tip feature, but now I just use a brush to brush the dirty water out and brush off the algae, then refill with my watering can.

Great bird bath!
I have one and wanted another. I really like it and it DOES keep the water from icing up in the winter. The only problem was I had to return it due to a hole in the dish that would allow the water to run through to the heating element. I am now looking for it locally as that is where I got the first one.....in a store in my area. It was just a defect when it was made. I would suggest this product to anyone who want to take care of the birds in the winter with fresh water.

Works great through subzero temperatures
This heated bath has been working great even in the subzero temperatures we've been having the last several days. The birds love having a drinking source. I coupled this with the water wiggler which gives it a nice light at night but takes away any room for bathing, but that's ok because my main goal was to provide drinking water. I also love how it's so easy to dump the water. Definitely recommend!

Water stays liquid but not as renter friendly
The other reviews are correct. There is no way that a morning dove or a squirrel or a heavy blue jay could sit on this without tilting if you install it the way it tells you do. Instead of using the flatended screw which "squeezes" it onto the deck railing, I just used a drill and used a real screw. Not the best idea for my apartment deck, but it got the job done. The latch that allows you to tilt isn't very easy but I might just have small hands. Still, the water stays liquid and the birds love it. I'm glad I got it.

Excellent product
It looks shallow but is the correct depth that birds prefer. Works perfectly. Water will need changing daily but that is just good hygiene since they also love to poop in it. Clipped easily onto my deck's 2x6 handrail. LOVE the titling feature that allows dirty water to be dumped backward into the garden every day. Water has never frozen even when the temp went down to -18C last week. Highly recommended.

Birds Love It!
I owned the identical product for about twelve years now. I just ordered a new one. It’s slip resistant and the birds of all sizes (and feline birds) love it!! It has a nice depth imo, and the heater works great in Canadian winters! Highly recommend.

But the strength and durability of its construction suggest it will have a better time contending with the feral cats and wild turkeys ...
The picture mis-represents the depth of the bath. It's really quite shallow, meaning that frequent re-fills are required. But the strength and durability of its construction suggest it will have a better time contending with the feral cats and wild turkeys who like to hop on and in.

Manufacturing Defect
The bolts for the deck mount bracket do not go through the bracket. Since I bought two of these birdbaths, I tried both (thinking there was a problem with just one unit) but the same problem on the other one. I was only able to get one bolt through out of the four that should’ve worked. Returned both units. Do not recommend.

This birdbath brings all the birds to the yard....
This was too small to fit into, but the birds seem to really like it. Keeps the water unfrozen and drinkable. Tastes great.Seriously though, it works great and is easy to clip onto the deck.
