Stroopie Stroopwafels, 8.8 oz Delft Tin in a Gift Box

If there is a Heaven, I know that one day I will be happy. I say this because if there is, it is filled with these fantastically amazing treats. Seriously, these are the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. And I am fat. I've eaten lots of things. Buy them. You won't be disappointed. You might punch someone who thinks you want to share them. That's the only real downside about them. They are so good. They are so good. Oh, yes, they are sooooooo good!

After seeing some enticing Instagram photos of friends in Brooklyn enjoying Stroopwafels atop the cups of coffee, I wanted nothing more than to create the experience for myself. I ordered two tins, and I fear that I paid over thirty bucks for.... two pretty tins. The stroopwafels themselves are dry, tasteless, and barely have an inkling of the caramel-y center that the coffee steam is supposed to turn into magical goodness. They're not completely disgusting, just vastly disappointing. I found some for under four bucks at a local grocery store the other night, and they are much, much better.

Not sure what the issue by some reviewers is with the size of these wafers...they fit atop my mug perfectly and the heat of the coffee softens the pastry...perhaps they are still using coffee cups vs mugs which are really the standard now? At any rate just wanted to set the record straight...having just returned from a trip to Amsterdam and wanting some but not having the ability to put any more weight into already stressed luggage I was pleased to know Amazon could "fullfill" and they did in 2 days....LOVE AMAZON...I really do.

These were so horrible and stale that when I took one out to try to bite into it I nearly broke my teeth. There was no crispy on the outside soft on the inside like they're supposed to be. These are like rockhard discs. They have no flavor. They have a "best if used by" with no date on these. Who knows how old these are? And I'm seething angry because I can't return these. I wouldn't feed these to the squirrels in our backyard. I know stroopwafels and buy them monthly from a store locally and they're always a delight. These couldn't be a bigger disappointment. No returns on these. I feel cheated.

I have relatives that live in Holland and they would bring me some of these. They were moist and very good. When I saw them online I Thought wow. But when I got them they were dry. I was very disappointed. I won't be buying anymore.

The photo made me think this would be some what larger......Nope smaller than a softball! I have not tasted them ,,,,,the tin is cool ( yet small). Shipping was super fast the tiny tin was packaged nice . Thanks

When I tried stroopwafels for the first time, I fell in love with the way it melted when placed over a hot cup of coffee or tea. This particular stroopwafel is no exception to that. Delicious as ever! It is a nice sweet caramel treat to snack on while enjoying your morning coffee, and not too much to overdo a small snack.

These were so good, plus they came with a cool tin. The only thing I didn't like was that there could have been more. There just wasn't enough....:)
