Perfect replacement
I needed some protection for an outdoor “weather resistant” outlet. This seems to work just fine. Easy install. Took maybe 5 minutes. We just had a rainstorm that dumped two inches of rain on us and this stood up to that test so I’m satisfied with this purchase.

Water proof replacement receptacle.
I bought this as a replacement for an outside receptacle. It was easy to replace and fits perfectly over the receptacle. You have the option to open it rom the side or the top. Depends on which way you put on the clear cover. Appears to be solid made to last for a long time. It tightens up over the receptacle and is water resistant .

Good Update For an Old Box
I used this TayMac cover to replace a 30-year-old metal cover with broken hinges and a bad seal that caused the GFCI to trip whenever it rained. Installation was simple, and the cover looks nice. The seal is good, ensuring that water no longer seeps in and trips the GFCI during inclement weather.

I use these covers as an electrician. They are tough and resist wind blowing them open. I recommend them. They also make a type of cover that will expand for more capacity.

Perfect cover for switches you don't want people to meddle with
This outlet and switch cover is perfect if you have a couple switches you need to keep functional for code purposes but don't want anyone to actually use. Definitely overkill but its a very nicely built device and was very easy to install.I have two switches near the garage door which I want to be left alone as the interior lights have a motion activated switch on the other end of a three way setup and the Ring security light shouldn't ever really need to be turned off but I didn't want to hard-wire it just in case.

This cover replaced one the didn't seal. Other than getting it open sometimes, it has kept my switch/outlet dry.

Really wish inside dimensions were listed with this stuff.
I bought it to cover a keypad deadbolt for weather protection. I had to modify it to fit. I liked the low profile.
