Mr. Brightside Pocket Size USB Powered LED Light

Unfortunately, my laptop PC did not come with an illuminated keyboard. We're theoretically supposed to know where the keys are on a standard QWERTY keyboard, but when one starts making simple typing mistakes when working in low light, it's time to find a remedy. Mr. Brightside  is a small, USB-powered LED light that plugs into one of the USB ports on a notebook or laptop computer. It's a simple, no-nonsense device with no switches or wires dangling all over the place. It's rubberized, and the neck is just flexible enough to provide light on the keyboard.If you work in a dark room at night, you may wish to find a regular lamp with reasonable illumination. But if you need a small, supplementary light with just enough to help you find navigate the keyboard, then  Mr. Brightside  might be a good solution at a reasonable price.JW ▪ 5/22/2014

Mr Brightside is exactly what I was looking for. It's small, adjustable, sturdy, and casts enough light to assist with touch typing without being overly distracting or annoying to others around.From other reviews, I was nervous the single LED would be very dim. It is not. It's comparable to every other LED I've seen. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the short design of it causes uneven lighting of your keyboard. To me that's to be expected and a fair tradeoff for the compact design.

I really wanted to like this light. It appeared to fill a niche of not being a gangly gooseneck light intruding in your personal space while trying to work, especially say if carpooling and commuting, etc. But the light output was too weak and we returned it. If we had mounted one on either side of the keyboard, we could have had enough light to see the keys. But as it was, it only threw light across half the 15" laptop keyboard. As such, we returned it and went with the Dorcy 41-1425 5MM LED Laptop Light with USB Retractable Adaptor instead.

The media could not be loaded.  This light has a bendable neck, and may be enough light for an ultraportable small chromebook, but will not provide enough light for a 15 inch laptop. MY favorite thing about this light is it's solid design, and that it allows you to use the usb next to the one with this light installed.

This device is bright enough, but the neck is short and it either shines in my face or on the control key. not a solution for night typing.

Little light works great to light up keyboards with no backlight. Much cheaper option that upgrading laptop. Bought this for a friend of mine who can't type without glancing at keyboard and he says it has helped him very much.

My USB ports are on the left side of the notebook. The light only illuminates about half of the keyboard.

Just enough light for a small laptop (as long as it has a USB port on the side about center of the keyboard
