I don't have a reference of the original tejate but this is not bad at all. It has the taste of "pinole". That corn taste but also Cocoa flavor. So, if you like pinole and chocolate, you might like this. Like I said, no point of reference here of the original tejate taste but I liked it. Just missing that foam , probably from the fresh cocoa .

It tastes like made with garlic so bad do not buy.
I believe that there can always be a difference in flavors as product is made and we can agree how close or far way is the flavor for something but this product was just disgusting I threw it away as I couldn’t return it. Takes like it was made with garlic when this is supposed to be chocolate like of waste of money.
