The previous Sharp Carousel 1100w model was purchased in 2005 and worked without flaw for over 16 years. I liked the power of the older model, so it was a no brainer to replace it with a like model. I will update this review as time passes. As noted in other comments removing the protective plastic film over the stainless was a pain in the @$$!

Good size, quality, brand.

1100 power microwave. Very nice . Quiet. Great one touch defrosting. Options for meat poultry and seafood. This comes in very handy. The only drawback is the front control panel doesn’t light up so you can easily read it. But most microwaves don’t either. It could light up only when touched.

Worked fine for 17 months, stopped heating the food. Light, turntable and buttons still work fine. But will not heat food. The Panasonic we had before this we gave away after 25 years and it is still working.

We had the earlier model and were happy with it. The new model is operationally the same, however the panel layout requires getting used to. It is a non-intuitive layout. The only major flaw in the design has remained unchanged for several years. The light in the oven - if it goes out - can only be replaced by taking the oven apart. This is something that the average user should not even attempt to do. The light being incandescent rather than LED has a limited lifespan. The light on our earlier model went out after a few years and we just lived with it. This issue should have been addressed by the manufacturer. .

It’s a microwave. I use it to microwave stuff. I open the door, put stuff in it and hit a couple of buttons. It works and then I pull my stuff out all steamy hot. It was inexpensive, it arrived quickly and it’s easy to use. What more can you ask?

1st this is my 2nd Sharp Microwave Oven, Model# SMC1842CS/1843CM. My 1st one lasted nearly 1½ years worked flawlessly loved the oven. But they say all good things come to a end & mine got hit by lightning. I bought this 2nd unit keeping the same make & model just has wonderful features and is rock steady of a unit also quiet running. My order was FASTT from ordering it I had it in hand within just 13 hours as a Amazon Prime Member in Miami, FL. .. ! Packaged outstanding also. plugged it it all has been fine now for 3 months+. Sorry it took me so long for this write-up, but had a time in the hospital.. Haa NOT RELATED... ;-)

My first Sharp Carousel was still working after 25 years. The display had gone out about 7 years ago. I decided that I wanted a new one that was a bit larger. Other than the display the old one always worked perfectly. So I donated it to the local Community Center so they could sell it. It went to a good cause. My new Carousel is very similar to the old one with just a few more 'buttons'. It only made sense for me to buy another Sharp. I think this new Sharp will most likely outlive me.

I had a Sharp microwave oven when I was stationed in the Middle East and it performed reliably. It's been a few months now since I bought this Sharp microwave oven, and so far, has not disappoint.

Works very well. Easy touch and go.

great product, BUT..how do you register this product if you live in Canada? not impressed when you sell a product and don't let Canadians register it.....
