I bought this book for two reasons – I want to start my own venture some day and secondly, I want to be successful. Needless to say, this book was the perfect fit for me to learn more about the subject.What I liked about the book is that it is drawn from the life of an actual individual – Mark Cuban, billionaire entrepreneur – and not based on some superfluous principles that all of us are so used to hearing or reading. This makes this book not only different from other ‘success’ books but also more authentic.Suffice to say that all the principles highlighted in the book are important, however, even if we apply one principle at a time, it would make a tremendous impact not only on the quality of our lives but also on the quantum of work that will get accomplished.Some other things that I likes about the books were the quotes by Mark Cuban (I’m paraphrasing)– “Failure is not the opposite of success, but it is a part of success”, “Money doesn’t make you happy, but it makes life easier”, “Don’t drown in opportunity”, “Get shit done and stay productive” etc.I would therefore recommend this book to anyone who not only wants to know the principles of success but also what to do to make those principles come to life.

Great read - I will definitely read it again

Great book! Being an entrepreneur myself I found this book inspiring! This book mainly describes his life and how he became so successful. It gives a list of his quotes which may inspire a lot of people who want to invest and imitate his success. This book also explains his failures, gives great business lessons and more. I recommend!

In building,without a solid foundation, you will always have shaky walls. This is a practical, straight talking, no nonsense easy to read book that will help you keep focused on moving forward in business when you start to feel one foot nailed to the floor. Nothing earth shaking, just solid foundation building points for your business endeavors.For me it was a little light on depth so I can only go 4 Stars, which is still not bad.
