Foundation Pump for Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation

Total waste of $10!! First, this product is "way" overpriced!!! But, as I could not find it any cheaper I bought one to use with EL new Double Ware Nude foundation which is "watery" compared to the original Double Ware. Because of this water-like consistency, I felt a pump would make using this foundation easier. It worked great......one time! Yep that's it, only used it one time!!! When I tried this am the top would not even depress...at all...UPDATE: I've come to the conclusion that the reason this pump stopped working was due to the foundation's consistency. Once I cleaned the DW Nude foundation out of the pump, it began working again. Estee Lauder's original DW foundation has a "creamy" consistency compared to DW Nude's "watery" consistency and apparently it dried inside the pump causing it to clog up! Based on the positive reviews, it works fine with EL original Double Ware but I would advise against using it with EL's new DW Nude.Being determined to find a solution, I purchased a drugstore foundation in a different type of pump bottle [for less than $10] that has a larger opening [i.e. Covergirl Outlast, Maybeline NY Dream, ELF Flawless Finish, etc ] and am going to dump the drugstore foundation and give this bottle a try.UPDATE 4/13/18: Problem solved! The type of pump bottles mentioned in the above paragraph worked. Other than being difficult to remove the foundation from the bottle! I used a "square shaped" bottle and would suggest anyone who wants to try this be sure and chose a bottle shape other than square. As it is difficult to remove foundation from the "right angle shoulders" of square bottles. A straight sided or round bottle would be easier.

The pump fit the bottle, but the pump itself is not smooth in motion. It’s a sudden pump you’re barely prepared for and there’s little to no control— meaning no 1/2 pump or less. This means there’s going to be a lot of waste. I think I’m tossing this and going back to my traditional lid. I bought this at the same time as a new bottle of foundation. I gave it a few days to see if it would break in any, but no such luck.

First off let me say that I think this pump is very good the price. I’ve read a lot of reviews where people have complained about the dispenser getting clogged. This is probably happening because you have left wet foundation on the dispenser exposed to the elements (air) without the cap on. This results in hardening of the foundation and “clogging” the dispensing hole. This ends up with aggressive squirts. A simple fix to this is to take a warm damp cloth and wipe the dispenser every so often. I make a habit of doing this daily, partly because I don’t want to clog the dispenser and partly because I find it disgusting to leave foundation on the pump or on anything. I like my makeup bag nice and clean. I get grossed out when I see ladies with eyeshadow and bronzer fragments in their makeup bags on top of their vanities. I’m gonna purchase another one of these for my travel bag.

This is so useful! It deffinately makes applying the Estée Lauder foundation so much easier without the mess.Edit: So i bought another estee lauder foundation recently but i couldn't find my old one with the pump still in it and i was so pissed lmao.. I will be ordering this again.

Estee Lauder is my favorite foundation, stay on all day...the added pump helps me to save on the amount I use

At the point I purchased this product 20 percent of the customers said it didn't work. I was one of the unlucky people to waste part of my $40 foundation on this junky pump.

Don't buy this. The pump doesn't really work. It gets stuck every time and I end up having to pull it up manually. Because the pump doesn't work well, it ends up squirting out the makeup all of my hand - not into a drop.

Worked great at first, but after a few weeks the pump started leaking.
