Staple remover won't work with narrow staple crown, but nail remover will instead
I quickly discovered the staple remover wouldn't fit under the staples in our floor, as the crowns of the staples are too narrow. However, each tine of the nail remover does fit, so the tool is very effective at pulling out the staples. For leverage, the heel of the tool must press against the floor surface. So to avoid marring wood flooring, place something under the tool while prying.
