I have not had this knife long enough to rate it on durability, though it seems it will do fine in that category from what I can tell. This review is because this knife fits my needs so well.I have wanted an interchangeable scalpel knife for a long time but was concerned that it would not be good for aggressive cutting and I did not want to be filling that blade uselessly by using it as my everyday knife to open boxes etc. this knife will do it all, with the solid blade on one side and removable on the other. I was surprised how long both blades are. When I bought it I thought they would feel to small but if anything both blades are almost too big for everyday carry. The knife is definitely bigger than what I used to carry in my pocket, but it is definitely doable and I love knowing I have a crazy sharp knife and a sacrificial knife to tackle anything that comes up.Havalon says this is he only knife they have made designed to be carried everyday. I tried one of their other designs that only looked slightly bigger, but there was a big difference in my pocket. This one works and the other I would not have carried.I also like the safety catch that keeps the surgical blade from opening in my pocket.

I've had a handful of knives that I've really liked and this is towards the top of that list.The first time I saw one was on a hunting guide. He pulled it out and gutted a pig with such ease.I asked to take a look at it when he was done. It was light, felt comfortable and sharp as hell. I really liked the interchangeable razor blades but wasn't a fan of the orange that he had. The blade was a little different than this and it turns out to be a different knife. It was a Havalon and the quality and function are the same. This Exp has turned into my edc and I enjoy how surprised people are when I say that it's sharp and it is REALLY sharp. I'm excited for deer season!

The thin scalpel blades do break with side load but are scary sharp, easy to replace even when broken, and has a spine lock to prevent it opening in a pocket. The main blade is much more durable and just as sharp when new.

I usually buy higher end knives like benchmade, zero tolerance, spyderco, etc but I like the is knife. I like the replacement blade option it's sharp as heck and fairly durable. The folder permanent blade was not horrible to sharpen and came with decent factory edge. Both havalons Amazon sells are extremely light weight and easy to use. Overall not a bad beater knife at all. Will never be a safe queen for me but as a worker knive I'm OK with it. 👍🏻

I was surprised at the quality of this multi blade knife. The scalpel is scary sharp! Great value!

I have the talon with just the surgical blade and I love it, but the blades are delicate so it’s not a great everyday carry, but this one is!! Even the fixed blade is extremely sharp right out of the box, and has an additional safety so the surgical blade stays folded. Would recommend

Love love love this knife. Had the metal Piranta knife until it was stolen.This tanto Blade comes razor sharp.Edit almost a year a later. This knife still lives in my right pocket, naked without it. Cut cardboard with the 60 blade, cut anything with it! The tanto blade I protect and only use when I must. Tanto is $10 to sharpen while the 60 is a buck to replace.Cut small wire, ceiling tiles, drywall, etc... Abuse the 60 blade and still have a sharp strong blade to spare. It's thick, but it pulls it weight in spades

I have had one previously and i used it for everything! Id use the main blade for normal everyday task. I used the replacement blades more than the normal blade. Skinning animals, cutting up my steak, i even used it a few times to cut some seatbelts and other objects on a few wreck scenes. This knife hands down is amazing. I use it for everything! The durability is insane. I dropped it off the top of our engine before, didnt even leave a scuff. You wont be disappointed.
