Bad right click and flimsy backshell
If a mouse offers two backshells, you'd think both of them would fit the mouse well. While the fingertip-style backshell fit perfectly into place, the claw-grip style backshell moved side to side extremely easily to the point where it could be removed while using the mouse. The clicks are inconsistent. The left one felt quite good for an Omron 20M, the left click was horrible with a mushy feeling and overall lack of tactility. The cable is thick, really thick. I was planning on paracording it if I liked the mouse, and as it turns out I did not.The mouse looks good though, and if you get a functional copy it could be an end game mouse with a couple of tweaks (better feet, better cable). Xtrfy is known for their build quality, my M42 reflected all but that.

If you are on the fence seriously try it.
When I was thinking about getting this mouse I will admit I was nervous I thought the Xtrfy stuff just looked a bit cheap with their first releases. That changed when I tried this mouse I am in love. Coming from an Finalmouse UL2 and Razer Viper Mini I was not sure if I would like the shape and feel and honestly other than some reviews online had not heard much about this brand. The mouse feet felt shockingly good on my glorious ice pad right away and the buttons both side and L/R clicks felt nice. Not super omg wow but perfectly fine. No wobble on the primary clicks which is what I look for.I would say the only real downside is the cable. I am going to paracord it but honestly if you are not super picky toss it in a quality bungee and you will be all set.Next I am going to try their mousepad. I just hope it has a nice feel and glide to it.

Great comfort great mechanical efficiency
Great mouse for hands ~18cm in length and under. Optimal sensor position for balanced tracking precision. The interchangeable plates do change the feeling of the mouse quite a bit. I've tried about 50+ mice in my lifetime, and I can easily rank this as my #1.Often compared to the Razer Viper Mini, with the high plate, the M42 feels slightly bigger and fuller in my hand compared to the mini. With the wide low plate, it feels slightly bigger than the high plate.Great clicks, great scroll, great LOD.

Good but..
I love everything about this mouse. The style and overall design looks and feels great. Only issue is having the right click give up on me after 1.5 years due to a double click issue (seems to be common with omron switches). Could have been my end game but I'm out of warranty so I'll probably shop for a different mouse.

If you have a better mouse, don’t try it.
The quality of the plastic is not good, and there will be noise when pressed. The scroll wheel of the mouse will have abnormal noise and be crooked. The sound of the right click is much louder than the left. This mouse is not recommended!!
