Q: I use 4/0 cable and the lugs are 1 inch wide, will they fit? The correct answer is NO the widthe of the opening is 11/16 not 3/4 as used on the 4/0 c

i had to use a dremel with a zip bit to make room for the 4/0 lugs

Q: What does it mean when it says no short circuit protection at 12-32v? It sounds non-functional.

Correct. They are no good as actual breakers, better off with a knife switch and fusible links!
