Edgewater Parts WB24X10029 Door Switch Compatible With GE Microwave Oven

The part came in 2 days w/Prime and worked perfectly. Used this switch to replace a broken one in our GE Profile microwave oven PMV1790SR1SS. GE Parts Store wanted $33.+ for this switch. The microwave had suddenly stopped working, but the power, displays and convection oven features worked fine. This was the top switch of three on this unit. The other two tested ok. Watched a couple of videos on You Tube to get some helpful hints and troubleshoot the problem. It was a bit tricky to getting the assembly out and in, but once completed was just like new. Saved a very expensive microwave and /or repair call. BTW, if anyone is considering buying this fancy over the stove microwave, save your money. Way too many complicated features, that are inferior to a regular convection oven, stove or toaster oven and take longer to heat up than my regular oven. Stick to a regular microwave at a much more reasonable price.

Our microwave oven stopped working, and via a Google search and You-Tube video I figured out it was most likely the door switch. This switch looks just like the original that I removed from the microwave, and once it was installed and the unit buttoned up, it works like a charm. I can't comment on longevity (the original lasted almost 10 years) but since almost all these things are made in China today they are probably very similar from that perspective.

Our microwave stopped heating and turning. After researching, I found this switch (the top one of three) was most likely the culprit, and that turned out to be true. This switch works just like the (unbroken) original. The one "complaint" I have is that the picture is wrong. The switch I received was made by a different manufacturer. I didn't put up a fuss because of the warranty.

Worked like a charm. They say to be careful of sharp edges....no kidding ...metal is bent and remains so sharp...I didn't realize it was cutting me as I installed the part. Switch was a challenge to install but it worked so it beats pitching out a microwave for the cost of a switch.

My hubby was able to fix our micro oven and have no problems after he replaced this part. shipment was fast and after 2 weeks of using microwave everything seems to be functioning just right. Definitely worth buying it and not having to spend the money on a new microwave to replace the broken one when all you need is this part for a few bucks.
