Kyle Morton, the lead singer of Portland's indie-orchestra Typhoon, releases his debut solo album 9/20/16. The ten song album, What Will Destroy You, was recorded by Kyle and longtime Typhoon producer/collaborator Paul Laxer. The album is available 9/20 on all major digital outlets via Typhoon Music and on vinyl via Bug Hunt, which is owned by Typhoon member and multi-instrumentalist Tyler Ferrin.

Not your average bunch of love songs...
Brilliant album with several stand out tunes. My faves; Water Torture, Survivalist Fantasy, Automatic and My Little Darlin Knows My Nature but there's not a song on the whole thing I wouldn't rate at four stars or above. HIGHLY recommended.

My favorite new album in a long time
I sometimes wonder if listening to music digitally has ruined my ability to appreciate good albums. I put together playlists with only the best song or two from any given album, and the rest gets ignored. I sort of miss the days when listening on a CD would force me to give less catchy songs a chance to burn into my memory. Then I hit an album like What Will Destroy You and remember that, yes, even today there are still albums I want to play from beginning to end without skipping a track. Great lyrics, haunting and ironic, are merged with musical tracks that mix pop and folk to make something original. Highly recommended!

This is a hauntingly beautiful, lyrical, and captivating album. I’m not sure why it’s not getting more attention. This album is definitely one of my favorites of 2016.

Es lag falscher Download Code für MP3 bei. Rückfrage bei Plattenfirma und Management wurde bis dato nicht beantwortet. Schadet meiner Gesamtbewertung. Zur Musik: Die Werke von Kyle Mortons Band Typhoon finde ich etwas besser.
