I really wanted to like this little book. Certainly, I liked parts of it, I won't deny that maybe 70% was useful for me. However, it seemed like on every page there was a new word to describe a woman's dirty underwear. Not very helpful. There was at least one inaccuracy as well. The book defines "Enguayabado" as "a deep sadness" or some such thing when in reality, it's a Colombian word for a hangover. So overall, mostly good, but definitely not great.

I saw the book and bought it on a whim, to use with my Colombian boyfriend. He got such a kick out of the accuracy! I ended up 'gifting' my book to him to share with his friends/family and bought a second copy.

I didn’t like the proportion of vulgar words as compared to ordinary slang expressions. I wish the book had separate sections for each. The sentences with examples of how to use each expression were quite useful.

It’s super funny

Kind of cool to read but was just in Colombia and most words or phases aren't used, at least not in Medellin. Lots of xrated type words and that's OK with me but the example phrases could use translation to English for those who don't understand Spanish. Some pretty hardcore phrases so that may be the reason. For a few dollars less, it may be worth buying for entertainment.

My girlfriend is Colombian...I don't speak Colombian...any guesses as to why I bought the thing?3 stars because, in essence, this does provide you with some Colombian words and phrases. Anyone attempting to learn a Latin Spanish language will understand that it's damn near impossible to find free educational sources for the specific language you want to learn. There's mainland, European Spanish, then there's Latin American Spanish. The problem is, South America is a big place, with a lot of different countries, all speaking very different Spanish.So, after months of using words used by Mexico, that Colombians just don't use in polite conversation, I decided to purchase this book.Unfortunately, it's not a quick guide...it's a dictionary.And it's not just a dictionary...it's a dictionary of rude words! Almost exclusively rude words!Don't get me wrong...this is still funny...and, for the right circumstances, useful! But I'm not sure it's going to help with meeting the parents...
