Will this fit a tube that is 1" round?

I presume you mean a 1" diameter. That's exactly what they're made for. If it's not already there, you'll want to drill a small hole in the tube for the nub. That keeps it from sliding around. I tried several types of pads. This one works great on my tile floor. After a year, none have broken.
