Worked properly out of the box
We have experience multiple lightning strikes on the phone line leading into our building. The last strike damaged the DSL Modem, two switches, one router, a computer video card, the security system recorder, one security camera, and one input port on a projector. The common factor is that all of these devices are networked and connected to the DSL modem. We have surge protectors on all equipment as well. We are waiting on the telephone company to respond concerning the grounding and bonding of the phone line as it enters the building (the proper bonding and grounding is suspect at this point). In order to try and isolate the DSL modem from the rest of our network I added a media converted that is the only device connected to the DSL modem. A second media converter is connected to the switch that connects to the rest of our network. Hopefully our internal network is now isolated from the DSL modem by the optical connection between the two media converters. The media converters work great but I guess we will have to wait for the next lightning strike to know if this will solve the problem.

Worked good.
I have never used this brand before so I was a little worried but they worked. But I wish it had POE but I made it work.

Works well
First experience with fiber - with happy results. Used with 50m fiber cable, and devices ran at full speed (1000 Mbps). Transfer was limited by the Ethernet copper side of the connection, not fiber. I needed this device because of the long distance between LAN points, and it was too long for the CAT6 cable, because the CAT6 cable was limiting bandwidth. So the fiber connection replaced the long connection, and improved overall bandwidth between the two parts of the LAN.I wish these devices worked with PoE (Power over Ethernet), so you wouldn't have to use the power dongles.

Why use 2 fibers when one will work
I bought these unsure if full duplex on a single fiber was real but if it worked I could double my network lines. It also solved a problem in when i had pulled all the fibers and wires, I had run only 3 fibers instead of 4.Well they work Great, I get full duplex 1Gb speeds across my fiber.I know have 4 sets and no problems for over a year so far.

Great Product
After finding the correct Fiber cable, Everything worked perfectly. I use this as way to protect all my networking equiptment from a lightning strike. Much like a fusable link

It works to do what it does on the network!
Working as expected. It's literally plug and play and watch the lights blink. The other end is connected to a Single Mode transceiver on a Ciena 3903x Service Delivery Switch. 5/5 would buy again
