Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai [ 2 DVD Set ]

I've gotten used to Bollywood songs being dubbed, by either the actual singer or a completely different singer, but this was my first experience with *all* the dialogue being dubbed! It was done well (the mouths matched the audio) and the actors seemed to do their own dubbing, but it was distracting. In many instances it seemed like there was no reason why the actual scene audio couldn't have been used.So: good movie; horrible audio.Oh! And it also was the first Bollywood movie I've seen that appeared to follow the U.S. rule that every woman had to have a big bust. 😞

This film is one of Hrithik Roshan's early movies. He plays two different characters. One a nice simple poor man, who falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy business man. Unfortunately, the nice guy gets caught up in witnessing a murder and meets a tragic end. Grief stricken the daughter goes to New Zealand to forget him. But fate steps in and she meets a wealthy man (Rai) who looks just like the nice guy. Because she does not behave like all the other silly girls chasing after him, she catches his eye and his attentions. He returns with her to India and helps to bring justice to those who hurt her first love. This is one of those movies that makes you ask, which guy was her true love. Or are both her true love? The story is very original and well performed. This movie is rated R for violence and some of the dancing, but it is still tame compared to Hollywood movies. Overall its very entertaining.

I gave a 5 star rating for the seller because the movie arrived ahead of time and the condition was good. I got this movie because I like Hrithik Roshan. He had first seen him in Joshua Akbar, my favorite Indian movie. I prefer historical dramas with the traditional Indian dress. This particular movie did not interest me except for the very last scene which featured the bride in the beautiful traditional garb. The music and costumes did nothing for me.

I loved the simplicity of the love story -it looks like a love story made in heaven. Most of us would love to find the same! I never have yet! For Hrithik's first shot as a leading man he is marvelous. His costar does a good job as well. Hrithik carried the film! THis movie was done so long ago and already he looks like a super star - he's natural actor. But after listening to interviews since this movie was made, it's obvious he works hard at his craft. The states could use an actor of his caliber - done in English of course. He is handsome but exudes goodness in the inside. He is a blessing to watch.

I bought this movie a long time ago but tonight finally decided to open it up and watch it. I had only seen clip before and I thought was going to be to sad. I loved it! Should of watched it sooner. As usual Hithrik Roshan is great and what a hunk! He is very talented in his dancing and acting. This movie has it all drama,crime drama,romance,and I love the action scenes. Yes they could be cheesy at times but how exciting. I think he should do a action series of movies. Like the Bourne movies only Bollywood style of course. The only thing I didn't like was the scene in which he was beating the stuffing out of the bad guys and the girl starts yelling at him to kill them, kill them. It was one thing for him to kill them because he was fighting for his life (which he was) but another to kill just to kill. Of course this is a movie and I loved it. I like the Raj character and his relationship to his parents. The scene when they tell him he's in love and he says "take it easy,Dad". Sometimes the musical scenes in here were longer than usual to me. I give this movie a definite thumbs up!

This is a sweet movie, from top to bottom. The funny bits land on their feet like they're supposed to, the songs are fun and catchy, and you really just need to sit back and eat your popcorn. Find a way to watch this!

This is honestly on of the best Bollywood movies ever made. Literally had tears. So the story might be hard to believe, but it's not much different than Western films that are hard to believe. Just buy it, watch it, and you'll love it. Hrithik Roshan is one of my favorite actors. The only thing about this movie is on the cover it said there would be bonus features like interviews with Hrithik and Amisha Patel, but when you click it on the screen, it says please enter disc 2. There never was a disc 2 nor was the cover made for 2 discs. Either way still a great movie, I highly recommend you buying it.

I've recently really gotten into Bollywood films. I love how clean and respectable they are (in comparison to many hollywood films). I also love the story lines. This film is no exception. It did have some parts that were a little different, but I loved this movie overall. It was funny, upbeat, and entertaining. I loved how Hrithik Roshan played to roles in this movie. He is such a good actor. It was a really good movie. I will definitely watch this one again and again.

This film is Hrithiks first. It is FANTASTIC! Ok, He plays two characters, but that adds the the amazingness for me. The songs are great, the thiller bits are thrilling... what more can I say?

One of the best early film from Hrithik Roshan, Music, is something i can listening all over again, the story is great, and the all film did deserve the awards.

A bit too long but light hearted. Hrithik Roshan again is adorable if you want eye candy. Easy bollywood movie to watch. Some good music.

Bollywood films are my new guilty pleasure. They are lighthearted, colourful and fun. I liked this film and would recommend it.
