(2 Pack) ESP8266 microcontroller NodeMCU Lua WiFi with CP2102 USB

I love these little boards. These work fine with no problems programming them. The ones I got here were V2 which are a little smaller, but serve my purposes very well. I am using these to power different sensors and switches in home automation using Home Assistant with Alexa integration and MQTT. They are remarkably inexpensive and work great.The photo shows the physical differences between the V2 and V3. I haven't yet tested - because it doesn't fit the development board, is too narrow. Looking online, there are two different sizes of nodeMCU - and this is the smaller one. Should not be a big deal, except that I can't use the 12VDC input, which also means that I probably can't use the 5VDC output to a relay. But just as of now, I need to use a broadboard instead of the fit-to-size development board.

I watched a YouTube video to figure out how to hook these up to a light strip and it was easy. These little boards are pretty sweet and I'm eager to learn more.

At this point it seems intentional. One board worked, the other did not. Amazon issued me a replacement (which was cool) but there shouldn't have been a need. I would have rated higher if I were alone in this problem, but given the other similar reviews, I'm confident in suggesting you look elsewhere.
