Better Than Bouillon Fish Base 8 oz - Pack of (2) Jars

I came to Amazon to find some fish bouillon and came away with this as I didn't want to pay the going rate for only 8 cubes of bouillon which I don't care for anyway. Price-wise, this was the best option, especially this two-jar package. No regrets. This is great stuff! Now, is it really "Better Than Bouillon"? That's up to individual opinion. It dissolves easily and has excellent flavor. It's pretty high in sodium but not quite as high as my beef & chicken bouillon. (This fish bates claims almost 600mg of sodium compared to in excess of 800 each for my beef & chicken per "individual" serving.) So considering those factors, I'd say better it is.I tend to free lance cooking, grabbing whatever sounds good to me at a time. I just last night whipped up some rice with shrimp and a sauce made up of milk and butter thickened with cornstarch. I made the rice with the water I heated the (frozen) shrimp with and flavored the sauce with this stuff. It turned out great! I'll do the same thing with pollack or tilapia too. This flavoring will make each version considerably better than it has been coming out. (Which hasn't been at all bad.) Yes the sodium is high but with the right blend of base to liquid, it's the fish flavor you taste. I say you can't go wrong with this.

This bouillon enhances the flavor of my cooking. It does not taste fishy. I like it better than other flavors.

I put this in every soup, sauce & gravey. You can't taste it but it makes everything better. Lobster base is even better, but they were out of stock.

Ease of use. Adds great flavor to seafood soups and stews.

Two jars for sure..no b.s.!

I use this fish base when cooking àny seafood recipe like shrimp scampi, or any other fish recipe with a broth base,one teaspoon is all you need to enhance the flavor, I love it
