Great references, but not enough to pass
The bundle is a very good deal and you get a good bang for your buck. However, in order to pass the actual exams, you will need to have a much deeper understanding of the concepts and terminology introduced in these guides. Additionally, the layout of some of the major concepts are not conducive to success especially for beginners. For example, processes need to be solidifed in exam takers' memories to the point of being able to list them in order and that just isn't done in many instances in these books. There is a disclaimer at the beginning of the guides warning that it is meant for more seasoned professionals, yet, they don't go into the type of detail experienced admins or engineers need to be successful at taking the exam or even implementing mechanics successfully. In sum, use these guides as starting points but not the end all for exam preparation or even references for on the job tasks. It will, however, be a great starting point to know what to look for on TechNet and other more in depth resources or just figuring it out on your own in a lab or test environment.

MCSA Windows Server 2016 Exam Ref 3-Pack: Exams 70-740, 70-741, and 70-742
As already mentioned by others, and as the books state up front, they are not for learning. Just as the title says, its an Exam Reference.

Some of What You Need... A Whole Lot Missing
If you think these books are going to prepare you for the exams, think again. At best, the material is introductory and covers topics in broad strokes and, at worst is a skeleton outline of the topics.I've worked with Windows Servers for decades and I need to get my certifications current. I studied the installation section of the first book in depth, set up labs for it, practiced the PowerShell, etc. and when I took a practice test on that section, was woefully unprepared. This might end up as a tool in your exam prep toolbox... but, if so.. think of walking into a mechanic's garage... you see all of those tools everywhere. This isn't the paperclip on the desk. But, it's damned sure not the hydraulic lift, either.

The Golden Standard
If you are taking other practice courses and exams, this is still my recommended "go-to" prior to taking the official Microsoft Exams.

These books are nothing like the blue books from the Server 2008 days
These books are nothing like the blue books from the Server 2008 days. They contain far too little technical information, and are more like very long and detailed versions of the descriptions of the exam topics you’ll find on the Microsoft web sites. They do contain some useful PowerShell information, but as complex as Windows Server 2016 is, they really just scratch the surface. They’re useful to a point, but I don’t see myself going back to them as reference like I (still) do with my old blue books.

Comprehensive
These books are very well written and comprehensive. While they can be quite verbose at times (are the step-by-step instructions on how to install a role with Server Manager really necessary that many times?) they do seem to cover all the material, and combined with some training videos have helped me pass all three exams and earn MCSA: Windows Server 2016.Would recommend to anyone studying for these exams.

Great books to start with, but in todays world quickly out of date
This was a great value three pack of books to help with preparing for the exams. Overall the books are written for the exams and cover the topics. They are logical and well formatted. The only complaint I would have is that they become out of date very quickly after they are published. For my exams now, I only use online material which while may also be out of date but often is free.

Great books - Relevant
These books are recommended by Microsoft PRess, so authentic. The material is very relevant, and best used for the exams. Details explanations with screenshots in the book, however no CD and no Exam practice questions. You have to source the practice questions from another source to prepare for the exam.Overall books are authentic as they are recommended by Microsoft and relevant to the exams.

... taking exams but as a reference guide they are excellent so far
You probably need to look at other sources of information if and when your'e taking exams but as a reference guide they are excellent so far. Have setup some VM's and the information just seems easier to follow as compared to some of the books I have read in the past. Have had one powershell command that didn't exist and it took me some time to Google the answer as to why it wouldn't work but it all aids in the learning process.Only read 70-740 so far.
