Finally...Shout! Factory releases a Blu-Ray box set that does justice to the Pink Panther series, with all six features starring Peter Sellers as the bumbling inspector Jacques Clouseau. It includes The Return of the Pink Panther, which was not included in previous Pink Panther DVD box sets (different studio distribution).Picture quality is excellent on all movies; and there are dozens of special features. Though the box set packaging does not list every special feature available on the discs, they are available as listed in Amazon's product description. There are interviews with Claudia Cardinale, Robert Wagner, Catherine Schell, Lesley-Anne Down, some of the films' producers and editors, and even a former professional jewel thief. All six discs have optional commentary features (though somewhat scant on both "Revenge" and "Trail"). A booklet full of trivia about the movies is also enclosed.A completist may want to obtain the other three movies in the series: Inspector Clouseau (with Alan Arkin in the title role and the only one not directed by Blake Edwards), Curse of the Pink Panther, and Son of the Pink Panther; each are available separately. However, none of them hold a candle to the one and only Clouseau...Peter Sellers.

I'm a little shocked this set hasn't received more reviews because it is excellent, from top to bottom. All films have beautiful transfers and are loaded with several extras, which you can read about in the product description. The films retain their ability to entertain and make people laugh, even 50 and 40 years later. Peter Sellers was a genius, and you can see many instances of that in these films.I've watched all of the movies except the 1982 Trail of the Pink Panther since it is merely made up of outtakes and flashbacks from earlier movies and contains no new Sellers footage. Shout Factory has done their usual wonderful job of creating a viewing experience that almost all should enjoy. This set contains all of the Peter Sellers Pink Panther films, including The Return of the Pink Panther. I think this is the first time all the movies have been available in one set.If you've seen and enjoy the films, don't hesitate - buy this. The transfers are fantastic. If you haven't seen them, what are you waiting for? Classic slapstick awaits!

Blu-ray set is fabulous I watched all these movies individually and of course some were better than others. In Bluray the picture is so stunning they are much more enjoyable. In the "Pink Panther" the party scene with Clouseau in costume armor looks great.These transfers are good as I would ask considering they can't perform archival frame by frame repair."Return" was never a favorite, but in Bluray upscaled to 4k the gags are hysterical. I'm on "Strikes Again" as I write this and the dentist scene should pass a kidney stone!There are oodles and oodles of extras. More than most. Buy it before it is gone.

Blu-ray upgrade of the clunky old MGM DVD set from many years ago comes via Shout Factory(from their Shout Select line) now containing all six Pink Panther films starring Peter Sellers as the clumsy but well-meaning French Inspector Clouseau. Most of the old extras(except the cartoons) are imported over from the previous set, and this new one is loaded with welcome new extras like numerous theatrical trailers, TV and radio spots, new interviews and audio commentaries to round out this fine release, a must have for fans.

Some have additional featurettes as well.A great way to get every Peter Sellars Panther in one box, without the crappy ones or reboots that followed.

I'm giving this 4 stars because it's great to finally have the pink panther movies in one box set on blu-ray. If it hadn't been region locked I'd give it 5 stars. Luckily, I know how to get around this but it's irritating anyway.EDIT: BTW, it's not SHOUT Factory's fault that the discs are region locked. This is just how the business works. I'd like to say to the industry though that region locking 40 year old movies is probably equivalent to shooting yourself in the foot.Out of the 3 movies I've watched thus far it seems they've been pretty faithful to the grain in the film. A few of the films got new 4k interpositive scans done and look quite good compared to the hdtv airings which suffered quite a bit from low bitrate/DVNR. They are also definitely a step-up from the DVD's.It's always good to see original mono audio included although I've heard there are some issues with a couple of the films with pitch being off a bit. I've not noticed it however.

A wonderful collection of the Peter Sellers franchise, my 8 year old daughter enjoys it as much as I did when I was a child.

Six films. All written and directed by Blake Edwards and starring, for most of them, Peter Sellers. Utilizing physical comedy more than oral humor, most modern comedies can't hold their own against this collection.
