I had a squirrel that was jumping from the railing on my porch to the hanging bird feeder and knocking all the seeds onto the floor. So I put these on the railing. They were very easy to install, and the brown looks great with my porch colors. The spikes are wicked sharp, and there's no way that a squirrel could stand on or jump from these. Sure enough, the squirrel no longer gets on the railing. Now he leaps from the porch swing to the feeder. Sigh. Having sharp spikes all over the porch swing would puncture some of the romance, so I guess squirrel wins this round.

This will keep the squirrels off of things. They're pointy and the squirrels don't like them.

I the Purchased the spikes mainly to keep squirrels off my window sill where they like to climb the screen to look into the house once they jumped from the deck’s ledge At first I was excited to find something that would deter them but not at all. It was a deterrent for about a week then they start taking chances leaping from the spiked deck ledge onto the sill then back onto same spikes leaving window sill and deck floor bloody with trails of blood...... I was more than shocked that they were so determined and willing to hurt themselves than stop… spikes were quickly removed! Now I just deal with the little peeping toms or pull the shade, blocking their view.

Our backyard is on the raccoon circuit for our neighborhood. They routinely eat my pond fish (sushi night for them). I tried many things but these are the only things that seem to work. They hurt their feet/hands I guess. Main issue is these are so light weight they float and move around a lot- hard to make stay. They’re also not pretty so takes work to hide them without covering completely…at least they’re back and blend with the pond basin.

We added these to two posts to help with our raccoon population. These are extremely sharp and durable and so far seems to be stopping the raccoons from climbing the posts to our balcony. We did order a second set just to make the distance covered a bit longer since some of the large raccoons around here can almost reach over them. So far so good!

The media could not be loaded.  They were easily installed and work well. We live in the piney woods of Southeast Texas and have several feral cats nearby that like to prey on the birds. The feeders are pretty high but I watch one jump up and get a boost, by clawing the shed wall, and grabbing a bird off a feeder. These fixed that problem.
