At first I loved these cameras as I purchased two
At first I loved these cameras as I purchased two. The idea of being able to see activity virtually live and added security from trespassing led me to purchase this product. After only a few weeks one of the cameras began sending terrible pictures. I discovered the camera was not water tight and aloud water in it. Every night as the temperature cooled water would condense on camera lens on the inside and cause the photos to be clouded and no chance to see what it was taking picture of. A few weeks after this the second camera stopped taking pictures in the dark. All photos in the dark were just black with no chance of viewing. I made several attempts to contact the manufacturer and he just kept putting me off by saying he was going to send out a new camera and he never did. I finally ended up contacting Amazon to receive a refund and had to pay a restocking fee because I was passed the return date. Do not recommend these cameras because of poor quality and most of all poor customer service from manufacturer!

Extremely disappointed in lack of customer service from Snyper.
I have purchased three of the 3G Commander cameras and if I had written the review after buying the first one, I would have given it five stars. Unfortunately, the second and third cameras have not even come close to living up to my expectations. The second one quit transmitting photos after working great for six months. The infrared flash on the third camera quit working after about two and a half months, then quit taking pictures altogether shortly after that. Unfortunately I have prepaid data plans for both non-working cameras that I cannot get refunded, so I am out another $175+.The MOST frustrating thing about my experience has been Snyper’s customer service, or should I say LACK of customer service. I have sent numerous emails and left numerous voicemails with only one response. The one time that I actually spoke with a customer service representative I was told to try doing a factory reset which I had already done numerous times. She then told me to try downloading and installing the new software. As soon as we got off the phone I tried that but it made zero difference. Since then I have attempted to contact the company numerous times without any success. I have sent emails, left voicemails, waited on the phone for 15+ minutes on several occasions listening to their hold music, and recently tried reaching out on Facebook. It is extremely disappointing that a small business in this day and age would so completely lack in customer service.I also purchased two of their solar panels as these cameras are VERY greedy with batteries. Within about four months one of those has completely stopped working as well.

Great camera for security
This is a great camera. I'm not sure why people would write a negative review. I bought an abandoned house to fix up and there is a park across the street where the homeless like to hang out. And I'm fixing it up so I have all of my tools at the house. Anyway I set up the snyper cam and it works great. I just had someone jump the fence to the property last weekend and I called the cops and they had the guy arrested about 4 minutes later.I posted a couple of photos. The first picture is of a guy that jumped the fence and the second photo is a picture that my neighbor took of the guy in the back of a police car. This camera is very effective for security and the data plan is a good value. I paid $25 for three months and 2GB but I've only used about 10% of my data with 1 week left. It's kind of like paying a security guard that will watch your property 24 hours 365 days a year for $100.Update.I found better plan that is $75 for a yearIt is very important to set the camera up in a place with the right conditions or you can get lots of unwanted pictures and false triggers.First, you want to aim it at a place with no moving objects like a tree branch in the wind. Or at a road with lots of traffic. You also don’t want the lens in direct sunlight. That can cause lots of false triggers. Also someone stole my antenna. So I bought a new antenna took it apart and stuffed it in the lock box. I had to make a metal cap out of a piece of 1/2 copper pipe.

Works intermittently
I was hoping for better and gave this camera the benefit of the doubt for three weeks. I'm pretty tech savvy so set up was a breeze for me. The seller says you need at least two bars of cellular service. The videos say three. I've had nothing less than four bars of service the entire time. I installed lithium batteries and each picture shows 80-100% battery left. My main problem is unreliablty. The camera seems to "fall asleep" every one to two days. I set camera up in a test area with a lot of deer traffic along with three non-cellular, different brand of cameras. I would estimate it's only capturing 50% of triggers. Sometimes I can walk towards it in a straight line and it won't trigger a picture. I have to reset it by turning off and back on every day or two. Today it even failed to send the "daily report" for the first time. I thought it had been stolen so I walked in front of it to check it. It did not trigger. This camera is becoming extremely frustrating to me and I regret spending my hard earned money on it. Not to mention the data plan. I will reach out to the company today and update on that later. I gave it four stars because, when it works, I like it a lot. But I thought I would match the cameras dependability and only post two of the four.

Worked like a champ...for three weeks!
I received it yesterday, along with lithium batteries, put in the SIM card and an SD card, all good to go, went the recommended website, and could not find the $25, 3 month data plan. So, I went to the local ATT store, and a nice young fellow helped me get the data plan and a phone number for the camera. By evening, I’m watching deer at a feeder from my recliner. All in, for about $300- batteries and 3 month data service included- a heck of a deal!UPDATE:I have had it less than a month and am now returning it because the pictures it was messaging me were pitch black. I'm thinking the IR flash gave out. It just started doing that yesterday, after being in operation for maybe three weeks. I'm going to order another and try it again
