CD had multiple Irish Gaelic Tracks
First of all, when I started listening to the CD they sent me, 50% of the tracks were in Irish Gaelic for some reason... Absolutely no idea why. This book is okay, but for those people who are interested in reaching B1+ level and being able to speak the way that Persian speakers REALLY speak, I wouldn't recommend this book. A lot of the vocabulary that you learn in this book is only useful when writing and isn't used in conversation. If your goal is learning how to write, this book is alright, but if you want to be able to speak naturally I would avoid this book entirely and save yourself the time and money. If your goal is SPEAKING and interacting with people who speak Farsi. Learn with a website like persianlanguageonline.com because it has both the spoken and written forms of the language with lots of dialogues/videos/mp3s to help your progress. It's 100% free and I've learned WAY more from that website compared to this book.Once you've learned some basic grammar and some communication phrases from that website, my next piece of advice would be to go to italki.com or verbling.com and hire yourself a tutor and practice 1-2 hours per week while you continue your learning in your free time. You'll get much better results that way.

If only I could access the audio.
I think this book is a great way to learn to spell and read Persian but as far as speaking it or understanding other people it is pretty useless if you don't have audio...or a fiance who speaks farsi.

Decent and best Persian material out there when it comes to a scarce rare language…
It's a decent Persian book but for a beginner of the Persian language it gives you a chart of the Farsi alphabet and tells you to take a few days and memorize them. A bit lazy, if you ask me. But for nonetheless. Is definitely recommend it. I haven't finished it, but still good though. Make sure to buy the “How to write Write Persian” by Nazanin Mirsadeghi it teaches you more in depth in the Farsi alphabet and how to read and write.

Great product for the beginning to intermediate student of the ...
Great product for the beginning to intermediate student of the Farsi language and grammar. The book itself is fantastic, but I recommend purchasing the combo pack which includes the book and CD companion, as hearing the spoken Farsi is very useful for the beginner like myself.

Perfect for self-study
If you are a professional and cannot arrange to receive classes regularly this is your best friend for learning Farsi / Persian.Well arranged and explained. Recommended: buy the edition wit the CDs!!! - Despite the title of the book ("level 4"), this covers A1 to B2 CEF levels. So, beginners to intermediates. Enjoy!

Excellent, would recommend
This book has a well thought out progression of language skills. It introduces vocabulary and grammatical concepts gradually and in a fairly logical sequence. The passages of Farsi script are transliterated into English to help with understanding the script until you learn it well enough to read it independently. The audio tracks are helpful. One minor criticisms is that the Farsi script is quite small and difficult to decipher sometimes, especially with the dots above and below some of the letters it's sometimes hard to decide if that's one or two dots. If the English words are in an 10pt font let's say, then it seems that the Farsi letters are in 8pt. A bit bigger font would have been so much easier. All in all though, an excellent book. The best Persian learning tool I've used so far. Would recommend this book to anyone wishing to learn Persian.

Good material but font size small for beginners
The book is very good for beginners. The only difficulty that I faced was the font size. It should be larger when one is learning a new script. I had to get the initial pages enlarged to be able to read them.
