It's About Time Stoplight Sleep Enhancing Alarm Clock for Kids, Elmo's Bedtime

As the title said, my husband and I had accepted our new fates as early risers with our two year old. He’d wake up happy as a clam between 4:30 and 5:15 am EVERY. DAY. We tried later bedtimes, earlier bedtimes, rocking him back to sleep- nothing worked. We eventually settled on letting him watch TV in our bed and attempted another hour of “sleep.”This was our last hope. I rolled my eyes at the price figuring it would be a waste of money.We’d put him in bed at night and say, “When the light is red, stay in bed.” The first 2 mornings he woke up hysterically crying and so mad at the red light. It was awful. The 3rd morning was a little better. We’d repeat our phrase and bring him back to bed. By night 4, he got it. He fussed a little at 5 am, then went back to bed and slept til 6:30 am! He woke up saying, “Light green! Light green!” And gave high fives. Now every morning he wakes up happy as a clam with the green light, gets a high five, and we feel ready to parent.I’ve been setting the “green light” time a little later every morning. You have the option to set a noisy alarm or not. The green and red lights are soft, so not exactly a night light which is great for our fan of total darkness.I cannot recommend this product enough.

This has worked great for my daughter and her bedtime routine. She did struggle in the beginning, but when I told her that the red light meant that she shouldn't get out of bed, she immediately understood and went back to bed. She still gets up occasionally toward the beginning of bedtime (because she likes to tell me everything), but she generally tends to stay in her own bed throughout the night. Additionally, every morning she always knows that the green light means she can get up and will let me know it. Overall, it works great and I can't complain.

We love this alarm clock for our toddler but am dropping the 5th star due to price. $50 is a little steep for a kids alarm clock.

I have purchased three of these clocks, all via Amazon, and have recommended them to countless of my friends. My children rarely listen to the me, but they largely obey the red light and that is a true blessing that prevents early morning visits. The first clock that I purchased three years ago is still going strong. When I had a second child, I purchased a second clock on Amazon. About a year after I bought it, the second clock that I purchased stopped working and would not turn on no matter what I did. I assumed my toddler had somehow gotten a hold of it and broken it, so I sucked it up and purchased a third clock. The third clock lasted less than three months before it malfunctioned (it resets throughout the day), and it looks like I'm out of both the return period and also the "product support" period, so I don't see any way to contact the seller to see if I can get this clock repaired. After some googling, I located the website of the manufacturer of the clock and submitted a message to the support team via the website but haven't received a response in five days. So to summarize: the functionality is great, but after buying two clocks in less than a year and a half that both stopped working, I'm a little frustrated. It would be great if the product support window stayed open longer so it is easy to resolve any issues because at this point, I think there might be some quality issues with more recent versions of this clock.

AMAZING! We introduced this clock to our daughter right when she turned two, and was still in a crib. She understood the concept right away, but it took a couple of weeks of reminders, consistency and praise before she started to comply. Now, even though she's in a big girl bed, she will sometimes wake up 30-40 minutes before the light turns green, but sit and read books or play with toys until it's 'morning time.' When we turn the red light on at night she knows Elmo says "it's time for bed.' It made the transition to a big girl bed so much easier. My only caution is this: The first day we got it, I plugged it in and set the time. I did not program the alarm or even turn the red light on. However, the alarm (sound) went off loudly at 5:00am. Defiantly not when we planned to get up on a Saturday. The beeping scared her so much we had to put it away for a few days. Make sure you check the sound switch the first time you use it. We always have it switched to off now.

This is quite possibly the greatest invention of all time! We were struggling trying to keep my son in bed (at bedtime and in the morning), he would get out and climb on furniture, etc. This went on for about 3 weeks, with us running in there 50+ times a night to "calmly" tell him to get back into bed. We got this clock and IMMEDIATELY he understood it and followed the light signals! Even if we set it later on the weekends so we can sleep in a little bit, he will quietly sit in his bed reading or talking to his stuffed animals until the light turns green. I admit, I was not excited about paying $45 for a clock for my toddler, but this is worth every penny and more!The only improvement I would suggest would be if it could automatically set each day (you have to reset it every night), but that is such a small thing compared to how great this product works for my family. I love it and would recommend it to anyone.

This has been an amazing addition to our daughters room! I love you have the option of turning on/off the beeping of the alarm. My daughter will stay in bed until the light goes green. My only 2 things I would love to see is on the bottom is quick instructions on how to set alarm. The other would be have the green light stay green longer. It does stay green for 1 hour after the alarm "goes off." I wish it was 2 hours since there are days that my daughter sleeps past the 1 hour mark of the alarm and will holler at us asking if she can get up.

Do not buy this clock, no quality here at all!

I just got the clock and it does not power up at all.

La idea es buena. Pero el diseño está muy mal hecho. La luz roja es muy fuerte (en la noche hace que todo el cuarto se vea rojo-medio tétrico). Cuando cambia a la luz verde también es tan fuerte que te despierta (si quieres que tu hijo duerma bien!?). No lo compres!!!

Plugged this in and smoke started coming out. I have returned the item which cost me almost as much as it did to buy it ans have yet to hear back from Amazon/seller
