Horror Expansion

I received this quickly, and it was in original packaging. I got it for game night with my adult friends...I needed something other than Cards Against Humanity. Lots of fun if you've got a lot of movie watchers in your group.

Tons of fun for horror fans, and adds to an already fun and engaging game.

This expansion pack is full of horror movies, actors and directors but therein lies the difficulty of this deck. Unlike the "movie buff" expansion pack, I am familiar with all of the movies and actors but the difficulty is in making connections with them. What can you connect Robert Englund to, other than the Nightmare on Elm Street series?As of this posting, we currently have all of the decks Cinelinx has to offer (main game, red band edition, horror, superheroes and movie buffs) and even though I do find the superheroes expansion the easiest addition to the game, this one isn't bad. It creates a more difficult deck to play with because you have some movies that are hard to connect, or actors who have only been in certain series of movies. The deck also includes some blank cards to add in your own as well as some directors cut cards. It appears that Cinelinx has replaced the "You Call It" card with a "wild card" which is a much better and more understandable option. Thank you for FINALLY adding Tom Savini to the deck! I have wanted to make connections with him for so long and now I am able to do that.Cinelinx is an awesome game and this expansion pack is an excellent and challenging addition to the game.

This is our least favorite add-on deck. So many of the actors have ONLY been in horror films that it's difficult to connect them to anything else and you really have to be a hardcore fan to even know at least half of their names at all. At best they're character actors, the ones that some people might only recognize by their faces. Unlike the superheroes, red band, or movie buffs expansion decks which include A-list and big names that almost everyone would know, this deck falls short of that. And, as in all the decks, there are VERY FEW female actors. I also think all the decks could provide a few more blank cards.

I have ordered this expansion TWICE and both times received the "Red Band" expansion. I still want this item but am afraid to try and order it again.
