This is the most comprehensive book on leadership I have ever read . I can’t recommend it enough.The book is in depth and breaks down all the concepts iterated by the author in his previous books into tactical and applicable nuggets . Reading the book and applying it will help build the habits it takes to be a true leader . In a world where there is a gap in leadership globally , the book teaches the modern leader the principles to success on a personal and team level . It puts the team ahead - not merely in principle but by application and shows what potential true leadership can unlock . I highly recommend the book . I also highly recommend that the reader also reads the previous material ie extreme ownership , dichotomy of leadership to benefit maximally . Yes - check out the podcast and make it habitual .Jocko - thanks for keeping it real , thanks for bringing the high performance culture to us on a personal and team level -we need this , thanks for leading .

I'll be honest, what Jocko says about leadership all rings true with my own personal experience. And I love the way he says it: down-to-earth, no-nonsense, practical advice that is applicable in nearly every aspect of life. If you've read "Extreme Ownership" or "The Dichotomy of Leadership" then you already have a good idea of what to expect in this book (and if you haven't read either of those, then I strongly encourage you to do so!).What is different about this book is its tone. This book feels more personal, and the advice feels more prescriptive. It's as if you're having a one-on-one conversation, and he's sharing all of the different techniques and tricks he used, and every different situation he used them in, throughout his career. In that sense, this book feels more like a catalog of ideas for people to browse and choose from.

I am yet to read the book. However, I can see what I am expecting based on the book I've read from the same authors. Books from authors are excellent book!
