Purchased this to lay on top of an area rug so my 6 month old has a larger play mat to roll around and crawl on on the floor. It's really soft, not super thick like a comforter, but thick enough to provide some cushion for him. I would still lay some pillows around him if he were sitting up and there was a chance that he could fall over - it's not meant to provide that kind of cushion. Perfect for what I was looking for.

It is a very soft material and covers great amount of space. I just wish it was a little thicker. It is very easy to just lay out for the baby to play on. I did not notice any type of odour when opening the package. My baby does love to crawl on it. It also has a very cute pattern.

bought this for a play pen for the baby to put over the hard wood floors.Its not super padded which is what i really wanted but it is nice and fit the area.

Fits perfectly inside the playpin but it is very thin. Not worth the price because the padding is so thin but aside from that it is easy to clean and looks nice soft to sit on.

I bought this for my 8-month-old. He has been standing and trying to walk all month and in true helicopter mother fashion... I have been terrified! I've been worried he will fall and hurt himself. I have bought crawling helmets and backpack head protectors. Still haven't felt super confident in him moving around so much alone. I put a comforter under his play area to soften his fall. I saw this and order it and it has calmed my worries a lot. He doesn't seem to be hurt at all when he falls or when he loses his balance and slams down on his rear. It has been through a lot in the short amount of time I've had it. It's been peed on, thrown up on, and been pooped on. It's had food smeared in it and our dogs rubbed mud in it. It has been washed numerous times in a month and still looks and feels the same. Hasn't held any stains or odors from the atrocities it has been through. It feels comfortable to sit on and play with my baby too. Definitely kid and parent friendly. Pets seem to love it too.
