Wasn't sure I would like a backpack on my back but this works great
I recently started mountain biking after road biking for decades. I started with a bottle and cage but I didn't like all the dirt getting thrown up on the bottle and I was a tad envious of another rider who had readily accessible water as well as first aid supplies and other stuff. I also didn't really like my seat pack and its interaction with my dropper post. After a bit of research, I pulled the trigger on this one. I think the thing that swayed my purchase was the design that keeps it away from your back for a bit more ventilation. I got this late in the season so I haven't really had it on on really hot days but it does seem to keep my back cool. I'm really happy with the fit and how securely it stays put through all the bumps, jumps, and body english. Plenty of pockets for this and that and I really like the helmet holder. I though it was kind of gimicky at first but it really works well and comes in handy.I don't know that other, cheaper, packs wouldn't be just as good but in the end, I wanted a product from a proven company - especially when it comes to putting it in your mouth!

Quality, Light, Versatile, TOP VENTILATION
The design of this pack is perfect for short and long distance rides. If you are a bike commuter and you have a short ride and travel light this could be the pack for you. Osprey makes solid products, their warranty is awesome, and I have different packs from them. This pack is ideal for me on my weekly rides. I use it on every ride for 25 to 30 miles. Their unique frame allows the pack to sit OFF my back so the ventilation is great. Unlike my other packs that don't have it my back is drenched from my rides. With this my back stays dryer and I have no issues with it. I would highly recommend this pack to everyone and if you need a bigger pack Osprey has two additional sizes.

Bought it for Hiking, some pros and cons
I've owned many camelbaks and this is my first osprey hydration pack. I know its meant for biking but bought it for hiking instead, really liked the webbed backing on it that kept my ultra sweaty back off the pack and keeping it from soaking through. game changer for me.pros:1) the web backing that makes sure the pack itself doesnt touch your back2) because of pro #1, its very easy to clean and just water spray your pack to get sweat out of the straps to keep the gear nice3) overall construction and functional pockets for snacks and such - it is a bit cramped, but this isnt for some major backpacking trip so your phone, keys, some snacks, maybe some other small items are held just fine.4) sturdy, reliable construction and designed well - i thought the shoulder straps looked flimsy at first and would dig in to my body and hurt, but dont notice them one bit once i hit the trail.5) The magnet holder for the hydration hose is a very nice touch.cons (first world problems incoming) :1) the bite valve is a chore at times to drink through - its not horrible to the point that I would get rid of the pack, but the flow rate simply isnt as good as camelbak and the effort it takes is probably +30% more. It gets the job done, but its one of those scenarios that I would say " I've had better" . Also, forget about sharing with your friends, because it doesnt have that quick/easy flow capability that camelbaks have.2) cleaning: All valves need to be quick release similar to camel bak - some are quick release, others are not. I dont get it - unless its some patent thing they cant get around, it makes it a slight chore to wash out the hydration bladder once youre done with your hike. Probably takes me a good 2 minutes longer to clean this one out.... and tbh, its 2 minutes more than i care to spend.3) Cleaning kit could use some work - the cleaning kit and the inserts work fine, but again, requires more effort than the camelbak version. The camelbak version has tenting built into their kit so i can quick hang it and its very easy to clean - for whatever reason, this version fits easily, but it doesnt push out the inside of the bladder so it dries quicker. Also, why cant the hanger have some hose holders when I try to dry those?

Perfect for MTB
I regularly use this bike for mountain biking and it works perfectly. Just big enough to hold all my stuff without being too bulky. The air vent keeps my back cool on hotter days.

Very well ventilated pack
Pro's: Extremely well ventilated. The frame and mesh support keep the pack off your back so that air can get in and circulate. This is what makes this pack a winner. It's very lightweight and comfortable to wear.Even though it's lightweight and has no insulation, if you start with a frozen bladder it will provide cold water for up to 4 hours. I start with two bottles and a full bladder. By the time I've consumed the bottles the bladder has melted enough to provide cold water. This way I have cold water for a 4-5 hour ride.Cons: The flow rate is poor and takes a lot of suction to get it going. The waist strap is pretty lame. If you don't want to use it there is nowhere to tuck it so that it won't get wrapped around your rear wheel. I solved this by cutting it off.The magnet that holds the mouthpiece against the strap is not strong enough to hold it in place. I solved this by getting a small neodymium magnet and placing it between the existing magnets (this was a simple and cheap modification).

Great bag for the trail
Best purchase since I've started biking. Not the biggest pack, but still can fit tubeless repair kit, multitool, spare tube, snacks (usually 4 lara bars), phone, portable speaker, and GoPro gear. I can strap my kneepads and helmet to it for when I don't need them and it's not super bulky. Hydration system works just fine. Magnetic clip is a nice touch. Ventilation system seems to work, but either way it's a comfortable pack to wear.

Very small 5 liter capacity
And by "small 5 liter capacity", I mean it's too narrow inside. It's as wide as the Synchro 10 (liter) but super slim. I don't know that I could fit an apple inside - maybe? But this pack might work for some people. Otherwise, I love Osprey hydration packs in general for the high quality material and design and lifetime warranty.

Worked out well
I love this hydro pack. My back is no longer soaked after a ride or a hike. It does hold much but it's great on a 4 hour hike or bike ride.
