A good introduction to Blockchain
I read this book looking for more information about Blockchain, since it is already a reality in many parts of the world, which is considered part of the Digital Transformation technologies and also more recent news such as Facebook's digital currency "Libra", currently under development , or the new Chinese digital currencyIt is an easy reading book and a good introduction for anyone interested in learning about Blockchain. The book mentions, among other topics, the following:- The use of Blockchain not only for cryptocurrencies, which is the best known, but rather to transact anything of value- The difference between Bitcoin and Blockchain, which often tends to be confusing- Blockchain removes intermediaries allowing transactions to occur directly between people- Its use in digital voting, medical records, academic certificates, music, cloud storage, car rental and leasing, apartment rental, smart contracts and others.Bonne lecture!

It's a pretty easy read
It's a pretty easy read. A lot of grammatical errors, poor editing. Slightly redundant, but redundancy I'm sure is helpful for those who are trying to understand blockchain for the first time. Overall I like it, and I would share it with any beginner who doesn't really know what blockchain is or how it works.

High level intro commits major editorial crimes
This book provides a passable overview of the subject. I'd recommend it for someone who is curious to learn about blockchain; but it's too high level for anyone wanting to actually *use* a blockchain or have an intelligible technical conversation about it. There's a *lot* of repeated content throughout the book, and precious little in the way of detail. The book certainly doesn't shy away from the blockchain buzzwords concomitant with much of the literature on this hot new area, and frequently uses them without even attempting to explain or define them. The book is plagued by numerous minor editorial issues, some probably unique to the Kindle edition, others shared by the physical copy. The errors are easy enough to overlook and, for the most part, do not affect the comprehensibility of the content (though there are some inaccuracies in the technical chapter)..

Good introduction to the topic
I recommend this book for someone who is absolutely clueless about the topic. You can probably find all the information in this book by looking it up on Wikipedia. But the author has done a great job of compiling it in a concise and easily comprehensible format. Definitely worth the money spent.

yet easy to understand
Comprehensive (for beginners), yet easy to understand. Mark has refrained from becoming hyperbolic. Hash related chapter could have been made easier (just to explain) the concept by using short nin-binary, alpha-numeric (say, six or eight digits) code instead of 16 digit binary code. Excellent book overall. Recommend highly. Krish.

Confused about blockchain technology?
Thoroughly enjoyed this book introducing the blockchain, and cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin! The material was well presented, and provided me with a better sense of what this is all about. It will be very interesting to watch developments moving into the future.I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in an overview...presented in a way that material can be grasped quickly.

albeit mostly technical---but relatively easy to understand
This book is chock full of information, albeit mostly technical---but relatively easy to understand. Cryptocurrency is here to stay, in my opinion. And this book discusses Blockchain technology that isn't a 'coin' per se, but rather the technology that enables cryptocurrency to do what it does. This talks about the future of money in an indirect way. Stay abreast, read this book.

Useful introduction to the subject
I do not think there is an ultimate guide for whatever subject and this book may not be “the one”. However, for those starting practically from scratch on the subject, like myself, the book offers an useful approach to the very basics and provides a sort of road map for further readings and I would recommend it as an introduction.
