NECA Resident Evil 5 Series 1 Action Figure Executioner

The detail that went into this figure is exquisite and very accurate to Resident Evil 5. I'm sure the original proto-type mold must have been at least twice as awesome as this because there is always a massive loss of quality when a figure goes through the replication process. If you want an Executioner figure, you have 3 choices - you can buy this for a great price (I forget, 30 bucks? Maybe less), you can buy it and then modify it to make it your own, if you are someone who possesses any amount of craftsmanship and can change this figure without ruining it, or you can buy the Hollywood Collectibles Group executioner ( [...] )from the movie RE: Afterlife, which is more expensive, and higher quality - but also from the movie, which is absolute garbage, whereas this is actually based on the game.As far as the articulation for this figure goes, you have a choice of 2 places ,really, to put the ax. You can hold it up in the air like it is shown in the picture (though in the picture his leg positioning is fake, the figure won't stand up on it's own if the legs are turned that way. If they even can turn that way, looks like nonsense to me.) and hope that it does not fall over. I had this executioner standing in my office at work (yes my office at work) with the axe held up in the air, as in the picture, for about a year straight - it never once fell over. It was not propped against anything, I did not build a custom pedestal. It was standing on level surface on it's own two feet. I brought it home recently (after being laid off from said job. Maybe I shouldn't have resident evil figures on display? Who knows?) and put it display above our TV. It, along with my anniversary series Tyrant figure, fell over like clockwork, probably because of people walking by. So, I moved it to the mantle, where it still fell over. I had to lean the axe against the wall, which has worked perfectly. I've never tried it with the axe dragging behind him, I'm sure there's no problem with that position.Anyone who is a fan of Resident Evil, newschool Nintendo fanboy or old-school true Resident Evil fan, I recommend buying this for your collection. If you like the movies, I'd ask you to buy the HCG version and save the video game one for the people who like the game. If you like both, buy both! :)

My kid loves it. I think it is kind of gross looking. He is pretty impressed with the look though. Like the ones in the game.

The first series of RE5 figures includes Sheva, Chris, and what I'm sure is just the first of Majini figures this line will see. The Executioner figure depicts the game's first mini-boss, although there's nothing mini about this guy. He is absolutely mammoth for a 7" scale figure and his ax steals the show. NECA always does a great job with detailing, and of all the figures in the RE5 line, he's probably the best. Complete with the axe, removable meat hooks, and adorned with nails in his back and spikes all over, he really looks like his in-game counterpart.As for articulation, don't expect more than a semi-rotating body and moving his arms. That's it. He's solid, imposing, and not very articulate, but that's not a problem. He is also the most durable feeling of all the figures.So if you're a fan of RE5, the series is a must-buy, and this guy is the perfect opening majini figure.

Cool Figure! Great detail work, it has articulation in the arms but not in the legs.

The Executioner figure from Resident evil 5 is a big & scary. The Axe that he hold it is't really heavy when I let him hold the Axe he barley stands.The needles that you see it behind his back it's kind a sharp.But, the action figure it looks so cool, big & scary I give it five out of five.

If your a resident evil fan, you need this figure for sure. The executioner majini is the reason i was scared crappless playing resident evil 5. And when you get the figure it all comes back again lol. Totally worth getting this figure it does not dissapoint.

My son loved it! It took us a minute to put the ax together but my son hasn't stopped playing with it.

I'm a collector so must of the question really won't apply.. The articulation is great especially around the hands.. The character wears a mask so the facial features don't apply.
